how is it that the informercials in spanish can lie to the public and advertise that their product cures cancer, arthritis, prostrate cancer…remove scars etc etc…how can they get away with it and you cant do it in an english language commercial or program? i know its a scam to sell the product but its against the law and doesnt the FCC regulate them???
The FCC doesn’t regulate Mexico.
Are you referring to Spanish-language infomercials airing in the US? My guess would be there simply aren’t enough resources to monitor Spanish-language programming.

Some of the hawkers of herbal cures in the US have come darn close to making the very same claims.
Nor will there be any extra resources made available anytime soon.
The population actually watching those infomercials is often illegal, illiterate or nearly-illiterate (in English if not Spanish), and has pretty much zero power in this society. They have almost no recourse when they get scammed and screwed-over by companies/employers/etc..
