Finally, one of the doctors is gay…he seems to do as much plastic surgery on gay men as he does on women.
Seriously, take everything you know and have heard about how general society pressures women into looking like a certain ideal. Then multiply it by about 100. You have general gay society.
In both, there are a significant number of people who say “Fuck that shit!” and refuse to buy into the image (bears, chubs, chasers of same) but it really messes up a lot of guys’ heads for at least a few years right after coming out.
