Roy is monologuing.
Roy is soapboxing for the wall.
“Thank God the Democratic majority can walk and chew gum at the same time.”
Can you post a link to this? There’s so much on Twitter-- it’s like a twitter-tape-parade-- I can’t find a solid vantage point.
ETA. NM. I think I found it.
Is there going to be a transcript of this session?
I’ve no love for the Democratic Party, but the current state of the Republican Party is a worldwide embarrassment. If there are any left with any dignity and true love of country, it’s time for a new party, because they are tainted, by association to the Trumplicans, beyond salvation.
Time for recess.
Good. Finally I can go wash my hair!
They’ve pretty much given up even pretending to have anything but posturing poutrage.
At this point, the only real route to restoring sanity to the political system is for the Republicans to implode and the Democrats to fission into conservative and liberal factions.
I had to look that word up - I am so adding that to my lexicon. Thx!
The problem, of course, is that you’re talking about roughly 35-40% of the American population imploding. If Trump and Pence were to keel over dead tomorrow, those people would still be there. And they’d still be in the majority in a fair number of states.
Maybe things will start looking up by the time the first Millennials turn 65. I’ve got a decent shot at still being alive to see it.
I’ve been saying that since 2004.
Not even close. Watergate went on for days and days and weeks and weeks.
They ran 319 hours.
Strictly speaking, only about a quarter of the American population identify as Republicans. There are a lot of “independents” (many of whom aren’t really independent, of course, but maybe the ones who aren’t willing to name themselves as “Republicans”–even if they actually vote that way–will be more open to eventually taking their political identity someplace else) and a lot of apathetic non-voters.
Of course a quarter of the country is still a lot of people to be supporting this garbage.
Chris Wallace on Fox just said “The real news is the further incriminating information on Donald Trump”. Now Martha McCallum is on, she’s a little more of a whore—- who called it a grandstanding Democratic momement. But Wallace is cutting through the BS. And Brett Baker just said it was painful listening to the Republicans.
And they’ve latched onto “never went to Prague”. But Wallace thinks the R’s made too much noise about Cohen wanting a White House job.
Believe it or not, Fox News isn’t that bad in the mid-afternoon hours. Morning and evenings are when they run all the highly partisan bullshit.
I watched about an hour of it. It was the most disgusting display of unprincipled self-serving blind partisanship that I’ve seen since the Ford/Kavanaugh hearings. Republicans now have to admit that they (a) have no morals, (b) no shame, and © absolutely no interest in the truth.
Did he ever address the fact that the Stone collusion call happened in July while it was announced publicly in June?
Yeah Massie blew this Russia thing up rather quickly. On to the stuff nobody ever doubted: Trump is shady.
…and the Pacific Ocean is slightly damp.
Yeah, how bout it. What a bold public statement.
