He’s 45 freakin’ years old. He ‘has’ 3 children. He was ‘married’ to Lisa Marie Presley for a few opportune months. He paid an ungodly sum ($23MM?) to settle his previous molestation charges.
He still ‘shares’ his bed with other peoples’ kids, and insists that it’s OK.
Bad enough that I couldn’t even look at him. He’s so painfully distorted.
After all these years and all these people trying to tell him that sleeping with children is inappropriate, he STILL insists on doing so and insists that there is nothing wrong with it.
Geez man, even if you’re not guilty of pedophilia, you should be locked up for your own safety.
I heard two commentators (not very good ones) talking about how Michael is playing “the race card.”
First, I loathe and detest that expression.
Second, it seems so utterly silly to contemplate that MJ might blame this on his being “Black.” Does anyone still look at him and think “Black kid”?
He has successfully disguised (intentionally or not) his ethnic background, his age, his sex and his original identity.
Michael seemed just about right when he recorded Beat It. His music and his moves were fine and he had a naturally pleasing look. That was about 1983. After that he just seemed to become obsessed with his crotch, his skin, his facial features and little boys.
I’ve watched him when he seemed to be feigning an interest in children – or, at least in this case, a girl. You’ve seen adults sort of “look through” children while pretending interest? That was the impression that I got. There was no eye to eye contact and no warmth. (If you see the footage of his opening Christmas presents with children, notice the lack of connection.)
It also bothers me the way that he just blatantly lies. It’s the way a child lies with cookie crumbs and jam all over his face. Does he not understand that people can see that he has had major plastic surgery?
I would love to hear a professional’s opinion on what is wrong with Michael’s mind.
Speaking as a former psychiatric aide, it is my opinion that ole Jacko partook of some fine and serious drugs before facing off with Ed for the taping. If I knew I was going to get grilled on “60 Minutes,” I’d certainly want something to take the edge off MY terror. His eyes were definitely somewhere else this evening, and while he was certainly alert, I noticed that his responses had a kind of “phoned in” look and feel to them. This may well be why he talked about dislocated arms, and then decided to rearrange his hair.
I noticed something was weird about his facial expressions, but until Atreyu mentioned it, I didn’t realize what it was. Yes, he never moved his upper lip. I thought he was simply being tight-lipped – as many people are when they feel they’re being interrogated – but MJ seemed to take it to an extreme. Until Atreyu mentioned it above, it never occurred to me to think “maybe he can no longer move parts of his face.” Eesh.
This is not a guy who has much connection left to the mainstream of the human race. This is what’s LEFT of a guy who has been immersed too long in the corrosive essence of fame, Hollywood, and general craziness…
I wonder what MJ thinks would be the motive for a “conspiracy” against him. To bring down the black man? Really? The entire LAPD and District Attorney’s office is involved in an elaborate conspiracy to destroy a black pop singer out of sheer capricious racism? Does he really expect that turd to float?
If the government wanted to bring down the black man wouldn’t there be riper targets in the hip-hop genre. “Gangster” types who sell more records and can be more easily villified. Mj’s career is over for all intents and purposes. He’s no longer relevant enough to be a worthwhile target even if such a ridiculous conspiracy theory had any merit to it.
I can’t help but wonder what he sees when he looks in the mirror. I understand that anorexics see a fat person. Does Michael Jackson look in the mirror and think, “Damn, my nose is huge.”
What strikes me is this passage from the transcript, regarding why he created the Neverland Ranch:
**
This comes so close to actually sounding reasonable, i have to give Jackson credit. I can understand building a retreat for yourself, when you are a celebrity too big to walk out in public freely. But hasn’t it ocurred to him how few other celebrities build their own zoos or amusement parks? It’s one thing to want to regain your childhood, it’s another to spend millions of dollars trying to do so when you are in your 40s.
I believe that he is claiming that the conspiracy concerns his album sales in the US more than the criminal charges. (though his accusations are so convoluted, it’s hard to tell)
In a way, there is a conspiracy. It seems that a group of Americans (say, about 300 million) have gotten together and agreed not to buy his album. The motive of this subversive cabal seems to be a sinister desire not to own crappy music.
He actually makes Elvis look pretty normal and well-adjusted. Elvis had very bad taste and lots of money to indulge it, but at least his hedonism didn’t go beyond the rock and roll basics-- women, drugs and cars. No zoos or pirate rides or chimps or little boys.
I have always assumed he just saw too much Negro - 'course, that’s a whole different strand of his (presumed) psychosis to the ‘lost childhood regained’ theme that’s more associated with this kid sleepover malarkey.
In fact, I’m not sure how many themes this guy has intermingling and bouncing around each other at any one time . . .
Back when he had that interview iwth Oprah, he said that he did have some work done, and then quipped “who in L.A. hasn’t?” Which was a good point and was kind of funny.
That he now says “only two minor surgeries to help me breathe” is ridiculous. Dude, just say “yeah, I’ve had work done, but I’m wasn’t happy with it.”
He sees “ugly.”
That’s how he explained on the aforementioned Oprah interview. He claimed that his dad (that psycho, Joseph) had always called him ugly. I got the impression that it was a bullying tactic, like “you’re too ugly, if it weren’t for me you’d be such a failure.” “You’re ugly, ugly, ugly.” That coming from an abusive parent who is controlling your career? No wonder he’s a wreck.
With the vitiligo, of course it was worse. And in all fairness (giving Wacko the benefit of the doubt) I’ve seen an East Asian guy with vitiligo who looked like a calico or tortoise shell colored cat - using make-up to darken the light patches wouldn’t have helped much, it was too widespread. Using some kind of drugs or “bleach” to de-pigment his skin for the sake of a uniform tone does seem to be a reasonable option.
In any case, for someone who is horrified at being “ugly” vitiligo would be a blow to the psyche that is beyond measure.
And yeah, I realize that the plastic surgery is not improving his looks - but he seems to have the same distorted body image that you see with anorexics who just see “fat” when they look into the mirror. They don’t care that others may find their skeletal appearance unappealing. They just see “fat” and need to change it.
He sees “ugly” and has to change it.
I think a good psychiatrist could make a fortune doing a study of MJ’s psyche.
