Scotty Pippen has a higher Q-rating then MJ?
How?
Quoted from a CNN article dated Nov 23, 2003
Michael Jackson is in Santa Barbara, not Los Angeles. They’re both in Southern California, but are not under the same jurisdiction at all. Santa Barbara is about 100 miles north of LA.
Plus OJ was found innocent by a jury. (Or acquitted?)
I mean, he hardly had anybodys` blood all over the place anyway. I think the minimum for evidence is a couple gallons and he only had a few quarts.
I’d heard some stirrings in the news recently about a secret third marriage in June to a 20-something Islamic woman. Going by memory (hopefully accurate cuz I’ve been sick since then), but supposedly she’s a pianist with an IQ of 154, and the ceremony was arranged and done by the Nation of Islam at his ranch. Haven’t heard anything else about it, strangely enough.
Anyone got the dirt on that?
Thanks monster.
I guess I have no idea how the Q-rating is generated. I would have guessed that MJ was infinitly more well known then Scotty Pippen. I mean if you went to the darkest diamond mine in Africa I would guess they would have heard of MJ and not Pippen.
Strange.
That Vanity Fair piece a few months back also went into great detail the allegations against Jackson, and how his band of hired thugs went after anybody who tried to investigated the charges. The article also went into great detail the statements of one of the children victimized by Jackson, so much that I doubt it was made up.
Unfortunately, Vanity Fair literally buried the article in the back of the book, and IIRR, noted the article’s existence on the inside of the gatefold cover. If you didn’t know where to look, you wouldn’t have known that it existed.
Who the hell is Scottie Pippin?
Basketball player most well known as being Jordan’s sidekick on the 90’s Bulls teams. If you have to ask who Jordan is, I can’t help you there.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think Q-ratings measure how many people like a celebrity, not how many people know them.
My thoughts exactly. When the report came that he was going to be arrested I thought he would either A) flee the country never to return, or B) off himself.
Anyone other than me go through a terrible childhood/teenhood and ponder the (fleeting) notion of “I’ll kill myself! Yeah! That’ll show all those bastards that make my life difficult! They’ll REALLY miss me when I’m gone!”
Admittedly I don’t know Jacko (so this is all speculation), but the aforementioned would seem to be in character for him. I can see it now… the lights, set, soundtrack, Dr. Jack K making a cameo, makeup, wardrobe, Jacko making the dramatic entrance (and exit), Liz Taylor giving a tearful farewell (taped in advance), all conveniently packaged as an hour-long primetime special complete with advertising breaks!
Ooo! Then he could be buried at Neverland like Elvis at Graceland! With an endless loop of his songs! And a gift shop selling “commemerative” merchandise! And… and… admission could be charged to view his (embalmed like Lenin) body! And… and… and… he’d be famous like for-EVER!!!
As weird as that sounds, well … we are talking about Jacko here. It WOULD get his name/face in all the press, he WOULD be long remembered for it, and it WOULD solve his legal and financial problems.
If he really does it I won’t be surprised. Amazed yes, but not surprised.
(And no I’m not wishing for anybody’s death here. I hope he doesn’t, all I’m saying is I wouldn’t be surprised if he did.)
He probably, quite sincerely, believes being handcuffed behind his back is more brutal than he deserves.
If I lived in FantasyLand only to be hadcuffed I’d consider it brutal.
That’s the story of Pippen’s life.
I’m not positive of this cause I am no where close to being a doctor, but I heard that you can dislocate your shoulder and it won’t really affect you until later? I don’t know if that’s true or not, but I’ve heard it. And if you really look, he doesn’t move him arm any farther than he said he could. And also, there have been other cases of where police abuse suspects.
They would have to be out of their minds to dislocate the shoulders of such a high-profile, highly-watched suspect as Michael Jackson. He showed no ill effecys after emerging from the police station and neither he or his lawyer made any such allegations before the 60 Minutes interview. Don’t you think Geragos would have screamed his head off and milked it for all it was worth if the cops had abused his client? I find MJ’s allegation absurd on its face.
Plus we already know that he lied about being locked in a bathroom.
Does anyone remember that movie that was done on the Jacksons that showed on VH1. If his childhood was really like that, no matter he is so screwed up They would get beaten for not making a good dance move. That movie was frightening.
I bear him no love, but I think it should be said that:
He claims one dislocated shoulder, not two.
He claims his left shoulder was dislocated and his right was also hurt. When he raises his right hand above his chest during the interview, he holds it close to his body in a movement dissimilar to the one he demonstrated as painful. His left arm is virtually immobile throughout.
He uses the word “share” to mean “give his bed to a child,” not “get in bed with the child” (though he does say that even if he had done so, that would be okay).
California’s child protective services investigated his relationship with this juvenile and did not find evidence of wrongdoing.
I’m not suggesting categorically that there wasn’t wrongdoing, but am trying to contribute to a clear picture of what’s going on here.
Thing is, when Michael talks about how he’s Peter Pan-he’s not kidding.
He is severely immature, and doesn’t seem to be capable of reasoning on a level above that of a six year old.
And that’s not charming, like he seems to think it is. It’s down right scary.
Eve-argh, can you imagine Michael trying to do Cole Porter? I mean, we’re talking about the guy who thinks of songs like Smile or People by Barbra Streisand as classical music.
From what I remember of the interview, he specifically said both arms were dislocated. (I could be wrong, of course)
Also, if you look at the video of him leaving the police station, both arms are waving high and about. If just one was supposedly dislocated, he would have been rushed to the hospital, and he certainly wouldn’t have been waving like that with the hurt one.
Above from transcript link.
I’m not sure that it’s true he’d be rushed to the hospital–I’ve nown folks who were unaware that they’d dislocated a shoulder until later. However, I don’t disagree with you that his story is rather frayed arounmd the edges.
