Anyone who meets a young child and becomes a member of her family and later has a sexual relationship with her is creepy. If one of Mia’s biological sons had gotton together with Soon-Yi, it would be creepy too. And they were only 2 - 4 years old than her.

You check your math. They revealed their relationship in 1992. She’s 38 now. That would make her 22 at the time. She was 17 in 1987 which is when you said that they first got together.
Balderdash. That is the defense he used, but the facts don’t bare it up.
He was the biological father of her brother and the adoptive father and her sister and brother. His defense was that Mia’s adopted children were not her “real” children. He convinced Soon-Yi that she was not “really” Mia’s daughter. He made a fuss about Mia being an “unfit” mother to his three children (including their own “real” biological child), yet made no effort to take the other children away.
The splitting of Mia’s “real” and “adopted” children was the major factor in the custody battle. It was dreadful of him to try to split up the family to justify his own repulsive actions.

I can’t parse all that, but the fact remains that he was never married to Farrow, never lived with her and never had a familial relationship, either legally or biologically with Soon-Yi. She was his girlfriend’s adopted daughter and that was it.

Don’t you get it? He’s fucking a former child! It took him nine years to put his dastardly plan into action, but now he’s fucking a former eight-year-old, and he’s been doing it to the poor child for two decades. Now that’s sick.
Not to mention Soon Yi is genetically not related to him in the slightest, so what is the big whoop? She was born in 1970, she was 22 years old. I think anything after the age of 18 is fair game in the US …

I am a huge fan of the artist, especially in that 1978-1991 window when he seemed to inhabit the same planet as me. Dude is seriously screwed up in many ways, but he’s an amazing musician. Shame that he either is a pervert, has seriously poor judgment, and/or has the amazing arrogance to have not learned from previous brushes with the law.
This has been done to death I know, but I also blame dumbass sackchasing parents for letting anybody have access to their kid for sleepovers. I don’t care if you’re the Pope - why the fuck would you let your kid spend the night with a grown man, especially if you aren’t with your kid every moment when you’re there?
At this point, I could not give less of a shit about Jackson-he’s brought most of this on himself. He was an incredibly talented artist-I adored Thriller-but I cannot feel sorry for him anymore. He’s a selfish pathelogical liar with a major persecution complex and most of his so-called illnesses are psychosomatic, I’d bet.
I feel sorrier for the people he’s screwed over, his kids, and those who have actually tried to help him-only to be turned away. He had so much-only to piss it all away. The only thing I regret is the artist he once was-but HE is to blame for what he became.

I’m adding my name to the list of posters who appreciate his talents, but think his personal life is disturbing. Still, if he dies, I’ll be sad. I doubt he will ever make another album, even if he lives to be a hundred, but as long as he lives there is hope.

If it’s true then he certainly has my sympathies (which should be a load off in and of itself), but I honestly don’t think Michael Jackson would recognize the truth if it turned into a 12 year old boy and bit him on the ass. He’s a near pathological liar- even people like Quincy Jones who like him have said that. Add to this that he’s just barking rubbing-shit-in-his-hair mad in other ways that don’t even have to do with lying or boys: he went around Dubai wearing a woman’s outfit, dressed his kids in Mardi Gras masks and removed them from contact with their mother, traveled with wax mannequins, and even if he didn’t touch their naughty places he had slumber parties with kids when he was a middle aged man even after being successfully sued for millions of dollars, charged racism when an album flopped even though he’s earned BILLIONS, slept with a pet chimp, goes on multimillion dollar toy buying sprees when being sued by maids for back wages- the guy’s just a totally self absorbed nutter who’d have been locked away 30 years ago if he weren’t a zillionaire (and would probably be the happier for it as he’d have been forced to take medication). It just wouldn’t surprise me in the least to learn this is a lie (which is not to say that Michael himself doesn’t believe it, but then the man makes Anna Nicole look like Martha Stewart in terms of discipline, professionalism, altruism, and grasp of reality).

As long as we’re slagging other celebrities, Elvis did hurt at least one other person. He and a fan, an ~18 year old girl, were drinking a highly narcotic prescription cough syrup like it was Coca-Cola. Ended with her in a coma. She lived, but never fully recovered. Nothing came of it, though: Elvis was Teflon when John Gotti was still in the minor leagues. There was also his gun obsession. The fact that he never injured or killed anyone is due partly to the vigilance of his crew, partly to sheer luck, and partly to his not having it in him to shoot anyone point-blank. There were a few close calls as a result of his shooting “targets”, though. Very close.
Anyway, re: MJ. The oxygen chamber story, while false, was planted by him in the media. The same probably applies to this story.
