Why should he make his comments on YOUR schedule, rippingtons_fan??
Has it crossed your mind that maybe the most respectful thing MM could do in this case would be keep his big mouth shut (or, continue stuffing it with various edibles, just so he does not speak)?
As mentioned, the late sergeant’s coverage in F9/11 was to that at the time he was a recruiter, and for a segment of the film he was followed as he did his pitches to various civilians – no more, no less. Did the OP see the movie, see how he was portrayed? This is a sad denouement for someone whose brief bio indicates was a fine and honorable man, and who clearly believed in his mission; but Sarge would have felt this possibility was part of the deal and willing to face it. It’s not like it was Moore that set him up for it.
Yeah, he was one of those guys. There’s a transcript of his scene here at Moore’s website (scroll about halfway down). The Marine who was killed was named Plouhar.
I don’t know what Moore is supposed to say about it. Plouhar and his crew come off as pretty sleazy in that scene.
The kind of assertion like the OP makes happens a lot in political blogs; for example, some folks watched VERY closely to see if the Amnesty International (I believe it was) said anything about the tortured soldiers whose bodies were found recently. When there was no immediate response, it was trumpeted as proof of their left-wing, anti-US bias. Even when they DID comment, the same bloggers found it VERY interesting that there was no link to this statement from AI’s front page.
Seems to be the same kind of thing happening here.
I’m trying to envision a plausible scenario in which this question makes sense, and Moore should feel guilty over Plouhar’s death.
By simply appearing in this piece of celluloid treason, Plouhar marked himself as firmly in the camp of “against us,” so his higher-ups sent him to the front lines in retaliation. It’s all Moore’s fault because he knew this would happen. If you listen to the part of 9/11 with Plouhar carefully, you can hear Moore rubbing his hands together and cackling evilly in the background.
He wasn’t actually a Marine recruiter. He was in fact an actor playing a role for the film. To stiff him out of his pay (and cover up the fact that he was using actors and claiming they were real Marines), Moore dropped him off at a local base and told him he could pick up his paycheck inside. The poor man kept repeating that he wasn’t really supposed to be there, but nobody believed him. And this is what finally happened to him.
The Marine that you “mentioned” in your “OP” was killed in Iraq today!
And you wouldn’t even say you’re sorry to hear about his death!
I hope you, or one of your cronies or somebody tells you they saw one of your cronies or somebody, who tells you this little message that they hope that you saw one of your little cronies, or somebody, who tells you they saw this little message to one of your little cronies, or somebody, or you!
Watch out rippingtons_fan–while you’re out riding your broom, someone might drop a house on you!!! (Maybe it’ll be one of your cronies, or somebody, or you!!)
Sounds like an admission of trolling to me too. You’re out of line, rippingtons_fan. Consider this a warning: doing this again would jeopardize your continued participation here.
