…And I’m well-versed in “The Helicopter Move”.
vomits
I don’t know what that is. Do I want to know what that is?
Arms out, spinning… naked. I’ll leave the rest to the imagination.
vomits
Well, at least we know one person who’ll be hungry tomorrow!
See, I didn’t think that it was the arms that would be spinning.
Sorry guys, I couldn’t get my hands on decent avocados (I really hate Kroger’s) so there will be no guac tomorrow. I’ll be bringing the rest of the things I promised, though.
Due to the orientation, wouldn’t that be called the “windmill,” then?
Me too! I work there. In fact, I worked from 9:30PM last night until 1AM when we learned there’d be no truck (I have no idea how they get lost between the warehouse and the store but the drivers have a knack for it) and I’ll be going back in around 8AM after the truck shows up to work for about five hours or so. I’ll be coming directly from work with a quick stop at home to pet Hoser and grab the macaroni salad. I promise to not sweat while working so I won’t stink.
Oh man! I feel so sorry for you. I used to work at Save-A-Lot (I once subconciously said “Slave-A-Lot” to a customer on the phone if that tells you anything) but I was just a lowly cashier, I couldn’t imagine having to work at Kroger’s. I have a few friends who do too, doesn’t sound too great.
I’ve been frequenting Meijer’s the whole year in Kalamazoo so I’m used to their setup. Everything is cheaper at Meijer’s too! I never noticed until I came back home and started going back to Kroger’s, I think I’m going to start going out of my way a bit to go to the nearest Meijer’s.
Hm, I like Kroger. Used to work there part-time way back in high school, they treated us fairly well. And since I’m all about the coupons and sales anyway, I don’t notice a big price difference. Meijer is way longer away, and with a Kroger right in my 'hood, well that’s pretty much where we go. Of course, major produce expeditions or meat shopping generally winds up elsewhere, but for day to day stuff, we like it alright.
Anyone gets lost, gimme a call!
It’s funny. We Michiganders always do that. “Kroger’s”. “Meijer’s”. “Ford’s”. (Until semi-recently) “Farmer Jack’s”.
Why for we do that?
I broke that habit when I lived in North Carolina around the same time that I started saying “soda” instead of “pop.” There just isn’t a word for a carbonated beverage that the entire country can agree on. That’s why now I just drink coffee or water.
Okay, I’m headed out the door just as soon as I find something to make a makeshift cooler. I knew I’d forgotten something…
hey-next time, PM me - I missed this til now.
Aw! We could have initiated a new Doper?
…Well…new to us, at least.
Don’t hang much in this forum, wring?
We’ll definitely try more PMing next time.
Maybe singing telegrams for GFactor and rikc so they don’t forget.
Thanks to everyone who came, it was great finally meeting fiver and niko!
We’ll miss olives and Dom so much, I’m glad we got one more chance to hang out with them before handing them off to the Jersey Dopers.
Oh, and LOUNE? Since I’d have to go to the Pit to say what I really think about you winning every single game we played, I’ll just say congratulations, instead.
And play euchre at the next fest.
Thanks everyone for all the help, I had a blast!
I just got back myself. I had a blast. Best of luck to olives and Dom on their move to New Jersey. Glad to meet you, Fiver and niko!
Had me some fun, I did! Cool to meet Fiv and Niko. Now that we’ve lost olives and dom forever, we’re gonna need more dopers to fill out the crew.
I’ll upload pics as soon as I can find the frickin’ camera cable…
Also, everyone can upload pictures to my album above… just click that link, then click the icon at the top of the album labled Upload. It’d be nice to keep 'em all in one place, yez?
Fun times!
I really enjoyed the games, especially Kill Doctor Lucky. I went home and checked to see if cheapass games still sells it, but they don’t. They sell a game called Save Doctor Lucky, but who in the hell would want to do that?! I would have to fork over $25 to buy a normal version of KDL, but the cheapass game would be so much better to have. Ah wells.
I was happy to meet you all and that we had great weather and that we didn’t have to find out what “The Helicopter Move” actually was.
I just woke up. You guys wore me out but I gotta say…you rock. You really do. Next time I’m giving hugs before I leave.
