The first time I ran it, it discovered and removed Spybot worm and W32.Spybot.worm. Or so it said. I’ve run Spybot Search and Destroy many, many times and it never reported the presence of either of the two listed.
I dled it about a month ago, after seeing a thread about it here.
It found some things that neither Spybot nor Ad-Aware found, but I’m not sure if they were threats to me to begin with, since I don’t use IE.
I still have it, and run it whenever I run the other two just for the heck of it. I do like the Advanced Tools, particularly the System Explorers.
No complaints from me.
I put the beta on my workstation, and about an hour later, the whole damn thing blew up. I can’t say for sure that it was the beta that did it, but I’m waiting for a while before I try it again…
I have ti on my work computer. It found a bunch of stuff Adaware and Spybot didn’t find (are those two programs even being updated anymore?). But, I keep getting a TIB Porn Dialer reinstalled on my computer. It’ll find it and remove it when I boot but it can’t keep it from getting reinstalled. So it’s definitely not perfect…
BTW, if anyone has any tips on how to get rid of the dialer without completely wiping my computer, I’m all ears…
