I accidentally removed the Subject field from my messages, you know, the one that you use to sort by Subject. How do I put it back?
Have you tried View, Message Header from the menu?
There is no Message Header under View. This is MS Outlook 2003 if that matters.
Right click on any column header and select Field Chooser. Find Subject on the list and drag it back to your view.
From your post I assume you wanted the subject line to show up within a message. From a message, you can select View, then Message Header. If you are talking about seeing the subject in your Inbox messages, then follow Southern Yankee’s steps.
At the top, above the messages, I currently have “Received” and “Size”. I also want to be able to see “Subject” and “From”.
Did you try my instructions in Post #4?
I was a bit out of it yesterday and somehow missed seeing Field Chooser on the menu. I found it today. Thank you very much, Southern Yankee!
Okay, I’ve got another question. Currently each email message shows Subject, From, etc, and also the first few lines of each message. I don’t want to see the first few lines of each message. I just want to see Subject, From etc. How do I accomplish this?
Turn off AutoPreview in the View menu.
Thanks again.
