(I usually use Word, but my friend’s computer only has Works)
I’m in Works word processor and have created a table with decimal tab stops. So far, so good. But there is no way to insert the actual tab itself! I’m assuming it is control-tab but that does NOTHING.
Is this a bug? Does it work for you?
Any help would be appreciated!
I don’t have Works, and have never used it, but have had a similar problem with tabs in tables.
Here’s one option to try. Go outside the table and insert a tab. Highlight it, copy it to the clipboard, return to the cell in your table and paste.
Good luck.
What OS does your friend have? Word 2000 is included in my Microsoft Works on my ME (that’s an oxymoron if I have ever heard one).

It worked! Great idea, thanks!
Now, I have a work-around but it would be nice to know what’s up with this.
barbitu8 The O/S is XP.
In MSWord (97), Ctrl+Tab is the key sequence to insert a tab within a table. Dunno if it has the same function in Works, though. . . .
For MS Word, <ctrl><tab> inserts a tab in a table. Maybe you can try other combos such as <alt><tab>…
