Greetings all, it’s good to see you again. I hope you didn’t get up to too much trouble while I was away.
As for transport, my horse can take us both as long as we don’t get into a fight.
So what mischief are we up to next.

Actually both Hobbits are much faster than the Dwarf. They should be able to keep up with no problems and no need to expose the pony to danger. These are not out of shape 50 year old Hobbits, but young adventurers without the heavy armor of Gwaelur.
If Moose is departing, then Ghân would need a riding pony.
Perhaps the Cavalry have a spare - or maybe an elven horse would like a rider that can speak to it?
Ghân would like to be in the middle of the party marching order, please.
I know Goodberries are magical, but how would they work for a small carnivore. Polecats and their ilk live on a 100% meat diet, plus they only weigh a few ounces, and a Goodberry fills a whole human. Or am I asking too many questions about magic and I should just accept that it works?
Mulligan! Good to see you boy. How is the family doing?
Miron would probably do best as the rearmost member.
I too should probably stay to the rear. You may be marching at Dwarf speed, but I would rather not slow down the scouts. Besides, there has not been a lack of action for the rear guard up until this ponit.
And in that case Gil-Gandel will gladly go to the front. Now we have keen eyes and ears at both ends of our march!
Magic good and tasty and nutritious in this case. One berry would feed a full grown man or even a growing Hobbit, so it does wonders for the Polecat.

I am hoping that either Gil-Gandel or Glee will come up with a final Marching order and watch schedule. I will try to start the next thread tomorrow or maybe tonight.
You have 10 characters and a wolf of course for the marching.
For the Watch schedule you have the same 10 plus Riglo and of course Brownie (the Owl) and Missy (the Cat)
I may be no Ranger of Ithilien, nor do I have the keen senses of an Elf, but I am a pathfinder, and offer to stand up front with Gil Gandel and lend what little aid I can.
I think I will pass on to Elfstan some of the signals that Gil-Gandel and Brin worked out last time we were travelling like this.
Our eyes may not be as good as an Elf, but they are good enough if we know what we are looking for.
“Oh, before I forget,” pipes up Miron, rising from the kneeling posture from which he had been examining the ground, “I’ve grown accustomed to using signal whistles while on the move, and in addition to my own whistle I’ve brought seven extras for the group to use.” Having said that, he does indeed produce seven small signal whistles from his pack, proferring them vaguely in the group’s direction with an apologetic “I would have brought more, if I had known that seven would not be enough for everyone.”
Aah, I don’t believe we have been formally introduced.
I am Mulligan Took, sister-son of Peregrin Took and I am pleased to make your acquaintance.
Mulligan’s description
Mulligan is the usual height for a hobbit, that is smaller than everyone else standing a proud 3’ 5" feet tall. His brown eyes twinkle and his voice is light. The cloak wrapped round his shoulders is in good condition and showing underneath are a set of finely crafted daggers in well worn sheaths.
“It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance” the lightly armed and armored elf replies, his expression having hardened considerably since the group began planning their next expedition. “I’m Miron, recently in from an extended training period among the Rangers of Ithilien.”
Ghân is happy for Gil-Gandel to state the party marching order. He suggests that Deor and Renee stay in the middle of the party with him.
Fang will stick with Ghân, but can do occasional sniffing for tracks if required.
Brownie is keen to act as a night guard.
Ghân is still hoping for a mount (and I will reply with newly learnt commands for Brownie and Fang soon.)
“How many of your party are traditionally visible?” Miron wonders, idly fingering the cloth of his elven cloak. “If we could pull it off without slowing ourselves down, it might be wise for the forward and rear scouts to adopt some modicum of stealth. It would make the center of the party the priority target, if something were to approach us from above, but it would also let us get the drop on anything unfortunate enough to run into our scouts on the ground.”
Our mail-clad fighters are very visible.
Deor, our MU, can make himself (or his hawk) Invisible, while Renee has the ability to appear ‘inoffensive’.
Ghân the Druid can turn himself into a tree
, but can’t then move…
Does that mean I get to hide in your branches
As for me, and probably Elfstan, we will probably get overlooked as usual, unless we want to be noticed of course.
If you’d like, Thoroncir - who can speak to horses - can have a word with his light warhorse Seafoam, and you may ride.
The Sea-knight is many things, but invisible, he’s not.
