I’ll be calling the park tomorrow to find a good spot for us.
I’ve made contact with the parks department in M’boro. The shelters are all rented for the date (and have been for months), but there are tables (not covered) out in the park. There are also first come, first served shelters at Barfield, Seigal and Casson Trail.
So, what’s the consensus? Take our chances with the weather and open tables or change the location?
so… with a week left… whats the final plan?

I won’t be able to make it. I have to give a planetarium show at 6pm and then dance till the wee small hours of the morning.

Here’s my idea about the book swap: Bring any books you want to get rid of. We will lay them all out, then let anyone who wants a book (or three) take it. Any leftovers can be reclaimed by the owners, and the left over left overs will be donated to a local library for their book sale.
Super idea! And I’d forgotten to mention the book swap in my last post.
It is looking less and less likely that I am going to be able to make it… my van has been acting up and I need to get it looked at this week. It is going to depend on how costly it is and how quickly they can get it fixed. Dammit. 
Where do you live, PapSett? Someone may be able to give you a ride.
I live in the tip of southern Indiana; I doubt anyone else is up this way. It’s about a 2 hour drive for me.

PapSett - As much as I’d like to see you in person, I wouldn’t want you to try to make that long a drive (and I think it’s longer than 2 hours, but I could be wrong) with questionable transportation. I always worry about being stranded somewhere strange, where you don’t have a local garage to help. Maybe you can plan to make the trip next when when Nakota will (hopefully) have a foal on the ground for you to coo over.
