I’m very sorry to have to report that Zoe and I will be unable to make it to the get-together. Zoe has been dealing with some pesky health problems for several weeks and is no better today. She hasn’t been away from the house since before the flood and has trouble staying awake for long periods of time. Her energy level is such that being able to count on the time involved in the party is just too much to commit to.
We had both hoped she would be better by today and had been making our plans to join the fun, but she’s just not well enough to make the outing.
Please accept our apologies and regrets for missing what appears to be heading for a great time. Maybe next time! Y’all have fun!

I’m afraid that I probably won’t be able to come today, either. Some family obligations have come up unexpectedly. I’m so sorry to miss it. We’ll definitely have to plan another Fest in the fall.
