Adding my name to the list of Middle Tennesseans. I don’t post much, but I read the SD throughout the entire day, so I feel like one of the gang.

Wow, I am months late to this thread.
For future reference, I am now in Phoenix Arizona.
I lived in Middle Tennessee as a kid for two years (8th-9th grade), but haven’t lived there since.
If either of you ever get back to visit, let us know…we may be able to have a bit of a get together to meet you!

Hi, saje. I’m in the Chattanooga area, too. I think you, Jodi(?), and I are the only three.
If the “nevermind” was because I didn’t have you on my TN Dopers list, it’s because you say
and the list is for TN Dopers.
Maybe we could set some arbitrary radius length (what, 100 miles?) from somewhere in Middle Tennessee (such as the geographical center of the state not far east of Murfreesboro) and let that define the comfortable driving distance for people and Dopefest activities. That might be a fun list to have as well. Northern Alabama, Southern Kentucky, Northwestern Georgia, Northeastern Mississippi, all would be closer than Memphis, Knoxville and Tri-Cities in Tennessee.
Just something to bat around since the thread is about “Middle Tennessee Dopers” and my list is Tennessee Dopers. Not the same thing, granted.
Is 100 miles too short? Is there a better “center”?
If you consider yourself “close to Nashville” and don’t live in Tennessee, how far would you be driving to get to a Dopefest in Nashville?

Thanks for the vote, but I’m pretty sure I have run across posts from people not on the list who are almost surely from Tennessee. I just don’t always think to update the list when I see them. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to know there at least another ten or so such people.
