It’s vacation for me so I’m fairly flexible.
Ditto – I’d have to get to London first and then to Southampton. If you’re willing to come to London GrizzRich, how about the Silver Cross on Whitehall on the Saturday (either the 30th June or 7th July, whichever you prefer)? We could meet either mid-afternoon or early evening to give you some time to do some sightseeing, and the Silver Cross isn’t hideously expensive (by London standards), does pretty decent food, is easy to get to, and we can take you out for a curry afterwards.
I’m ok with London - I can even offer GrizzRich a lift up from Southampton if I can attend (business affairs may intrude).

Well, it doesn’t look like it yet, but just to say, that I won’t be able to make it if its the 30th as I’ll just be getting back from Italy that day. The 7th may be more do-able, but don’t change anything on my account.
I’m up with Angua’s suggestion of the Silver Cross on the 7th.

Well, I might not even be able to make the 7th, so whatever’s better for the most people. (I have to be in London on the 11th, but don’t know if I’ve got enough holiday to take the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off. Hmmm… Unless I plan a trip to visit collaborators or something…)
Sounds good to me! It even looks like the Silver Cross is really easy to get to from where I’m staying (near the South Kensington station). Please correct me if I’m wrong on that, though!

Our final plans now have us staying in Romsey (staying in a friend’s home).
So I reckon we’ll probably be taking the train into London.

I fly ot at 9am from Heathrow on the morning of the 9th, so an all-day thing on the 8th is probably not the best idea.
But I’m certain that I’ll be able to spend at least a few hours.
