Was it? It was started in October 2024. Since when do dedicated pit threads peter out? They are revived whenever someone gets a boner for the pittee. I read a thread and saw the link to the pit thread so I followed it to read the rants about Beck in that thread.
Why else do people back link to the pit thread other than to call out a poster for their so called pit worthy behavior. So that others can pile on and add their insults.
Yeah I revived it because I read it and disagreed with it. You seem to think once a certain time has passed no one can respond? Or that only those who are pit linking to her posts are allowed to revive it.

As has been pointed out to you, nobody intentionally “back links to the pit thread”. That is something Discourse does automatically.

Go look at that post and you will see that it now has a “back link” to this pit thread. You probably also got a notification that you have been linked.
It was dead for half a year until she insulted a non-English-speaking newbie for grammar/spelling. She was called out in 5 brief posts. Then it died again. Dead, dead, dead.
YOU then brought it back to life. When people point out it’s only active because you brought it back to life, you can’t understand how that works. And now you keep coming back repeatedly and complain that this thread is active.

edited to add: funny thing I just noticed, when posting in this thread, the two recommended threads that show up at the bottom were started by this thread’s target poster.
Me I only came in here to see what all the volume of posts was about. This is my second post in the thread. So yes activity can draw views? But the thread had gone dormant, again, either because Beck has decreased posting in ways that annoy those who get annoyed, or they have learned how to skim past what she posts.
For my purposes she is a low value added poster and in the threads I’ve been in that she has posted in I can quickly skim her bit with minimal attention or cost. Some enjoy her persona more than others and more power to them. She doesn’t bother me.
She seems to have tired of the current schtick (I mean it seems like a lot of work to me) and the thread will soon go dormant again. It can go deep and come back when she doesn’t something that annoys someone or ones again. Or never awake if no one is ever annoyed enough again to want to mildly Pit her.
She has neither won or lost anything. IMHO she carried the joke too far but hey I didn’t read more than one of them.

Beck has uh not gotten a rise out anyone for a while. A small shiver of interest to some hypocrisy on her part, which she apparently apologized, but the thread has been mostly limpid. If that wee bit in six months is the fruit of her being stalked then our stalkers need Cialis badly. Or a fluffer at least.
Well, good question. I’d say “previously dead; now revivified”. Truthfully, I would have used “dormant”, but I liked the sound of “dead, dead, dead” better.
