Oh, I know! I didn’t read your link (I could figure what it said), but I read a story on this in the paper today. For crying out loud! So, it’s better to drink beer than milk? The quote I remember from PETA was something like, “You can drink beer responsibly. There’s no responsible way to drink milk.” (Keep in mind, I paraphrased). WTF are these people trying to do???!!!
IMHO, milk is the best “food product” there is. I’d even venture to say that milk is better than beer (oh, man, Demo is gonna have a field day with this one!). I’d keep drinking milk even if I had to suck it straight from a cows udder. Honestly, if milk got you drunk, I’d never touch beer again.

didn’t check your link, but from what i know of the crack smokin’ PETA. I can guess they are complaining that the cow is oppressed by man and forced to give milk that was intended to go to its calf that was taken away from it. the cow is in a pen so small the cow it cant turn around. icy cold suckers are atached to it that cause pain as ol’ betsy is sucked dry.

Anyway… I think milk is fantastic. I have at least a glass a day. Is it better than beer though? Hell no! OK, it tastes great, Oreos are shit without it and, it comes from a tit(making it intrinsically good), but beer is, was and always will be king. Besides, if I really needed something smooth, cool and creamy I can always have a Guiness.

First: PETA is on crack. But that’s nothing new.
Second: If I could get drunk off of milk, instead of beer, that would kind of suck. I mean, have you people ever puked milk? Beer is so much easier to drink in the other direction. So, milk for dunking Oreos in and beer for getting drunk, and never the twain shall meet.
Actually, milk does have some use in getting drunk, mainly for use in white russians and the like.

Don’t know much about PETA’s views, but from a health standpoint I don’t care to drink milk.
What other mammal drinks another mammal’s milk? Just think about this for a second:
the milk from a cow is intended for a calf that is weighs more than most humans?
To me, it doesn’t make sense. It’s not meant for my system.
We, as humans, stop drinking breast milk when we’re still infants. Why drink another mammal’s milk when you’re an adult?
Besides, everytime I have ice cream, my sinuses begin to clog up with phlegm. It’s well-known that dairy products are mucous producing.
If you want to drink milk, that’s your prerogative. I certainly won’t be telling you not too. But there are very valid reasons for avoiding it (including the hormones that most milk producing cows are given to keep them fat and producing milk even though they are mothering. You’re drinking all the drugs they are given).

I can understand that milk isn’t that great, and I could give it up easily. Of course milk products are another thing entirely. The PETA can have my cheese when they pry it from my cold dead fingers.

I don’t care what those crackheads in PETA say, I love milk. Like dem said, Oreos are crappy without it. Also dairy products must have been sent down from heaven because they are damn good. If someone in PETA told me not to drink milk i’d get a gallon of it, fillup a super soaker, and spray them with it (well maybe not, but i like the idea).
