Millen Gone!!!

Millen’s gone? Well, cool, now the Lions can start building toward the Grey Cup or the World Bowl title…

Does that mean they’re not going to draft another receiver in the first round this year?

Playoffs are assured. 13 games left we may win them all.

THREE ENTIRE SEASONS under .500!!!

I’m not particularly a Lions fan- but I admit my first reaction to the news was… “Thank God!”

That man was a disaster almost from the get go. Proven to be incompetant year in and year out. It is baffling that he was still employed over the past couple of seasons.

The man singlehandedly made the entire NFL worse, for what he did to that one team.

Keep Heart Lions fans… you’ll be in line to draft Stafford or Tebow here in a few months.

I think I have his last performance evaluation right here.

“Seems to be getting dumber by the minute, I’ve never seen anything quite like it… Terrible at everything, a complete moron…”

I’m sorry, that’s actually Mr. Burns’ evaluation of Homer Simpson. But I stand by it.

The thing is, Millen was a pretty good TV analyst and is no dummy. He is just unequipped to be a GM and his team is snakebit and sorely in need of a really strong GM.

I’d put this whole thing on Ford more than Millen; he’s just a Heckuva Job Brownie.

He bough the team for 4.5 million. It is now worth about 800 million. Tax payers built him two stadiums. This had been a very successful franchise.
Oh ,yeh. they play football too. That part has not gone so well.

Now, start Dan Orlovsky for a bit and see if you’ve got a Brady or Romo.

And for fuck’s sake, give Kevin Smith back his job. Of course he hasn’t been productive- he’s getting the ball 8 times a game!

If we get Tebow, I will bite your head off. I do NOT want Tebow.

Hush, you. Enough of this Kevin Smith stuff.

Just trying to save your franchise, man.

Anyway, why don’t you want Tebow? He’s a better runner than all but one or two of your tailbacks over the last twenty years, and he’s a better passer than… well, any Detroit quarterback ever, really.

Besides, then you guys can make all the Chuck Norris style “Tim Tebow doesn’t…” jokes that the Gator fans didn’t think of.

He quacks, smells, looks, and sounds like Andre Ware.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I wanted the Lions to draft Josh Johnson this past year.

Haha… Okey doke. Chase Daniels? I don’t know that he is rated that highly though (despite the crazy #'s he is putting up.)

You guys should take a look at Shaun Alexander. I think getting cut will be good for him. He is a good runner when motivated.

Does Shawn Alexander also bring an offensive line with him?
Meh. I don’t want to see the Lions draft a quarterback the first 3 rounds. Period.

Bah. Ware was a one-year wonder. Tebow isn’t. I have to admit that I’m extremely unsure whether he’ll translate well to the NFL. He might be Donovan McNabb, but he might also be Vince Young.

I’m really, really high on Johnson. My only problem with the team’s quarterback plan right now is that we have Garcia and Griese as our #1 and #2 when Luke McCown was more productive in three games last year than Garcia was in the other 13… He really deserves a chance to start for a full year, and he just isn’t getting it. It seems like Gruden has just decided to throw veterans at the position until one of them sticks or Johnson is ready, whichever comes first.

I don’t want to see the Lions draft a quarterback in the first three rounds unless it’s in the bottom half of the third round. Period. Exclamation mark.

No quarterbacks at all until after that.

You like wide receivers that much??? :p:p:p

Well, when Roy Williams walks and Calvin Johnson is the only thing left that can catch a ball, then yeah. I’m down for a receiver (if he’s beefy, of course).
Ideally, I’d like to have the 4th or 5th pick unless there’s a top-shelf tackle prospect there at 1, 2, or 3.

Michael Oher. He should be the Lions first round pick if available.
