Your annoyance is part of the message they want to send. They want comfortable white people to start to be a little uncomfortable due to this ongoing injustice. Maybe if enough of us were uncomfortable, we’d do a better job fighting the injustice.
I wouldn’t mind seeing a little interpretive dancing.

Since you so clearly wanted this to be a Pit thread, dalej42, your wish is granted.
Fuck you, you dipshit asshole. Your MLK thread from some years ago let me know about you. I see you’re still you. Fuck off.
???
Why brrrrrrrr? Because it’s cold hard cash?
Money printer go brrrrrrr is most often used to refer to the Federal Reserve printing money. It’s to mimic the sound of a machine spinning fastly.
The thought occurs that if they weren’t playing before virtual audiences, this action would unfairly penalize arena workers and local eateries.
This way, it’s more like a moment of silence that happens to last all night. I have no problem with this.
https://www.sfchronicle.com/warriors/article/LeBron-James-comments-on-China-an-14535304.php
One issue is that LeBron James is Mr SJW when it concerns his folk but becomes Donald Trump when it concerns the pesky Hong Kongnese and the possiblity of angering China. We all make mistakes but this incident just reeks of hypocracy.
Someone can be right about BLM and wrong about Hong Kong.
The principles behind both protests are essentially the same. He was against the Hong Kong protests because of his wallet and for the current demonstrations because of justice. He actively called out Morley for speaking up in support of the Hong Kong protests. Not all or even most players but lots of the support for BLM is cynical.
I do keep waiting for LeBron to educate me about China.
I’m so glad that every public figure must only take stands that I agree with and must be ideologically pure 100% of the time. I feel the Bern already.
I’m wondering what Lebron’s actions have to do with the Bucks boycotting.
aren’t you the same sob that got pissy when the protestor climbed the statue of liberty? or when the protest closed down the dan ryan?
What a whiner!
The NBA and the woke live according to what Ricky Gervais had to say.
“Well, you say you’re woke, but the companies you work for [run sweatshops] in China—unbelievable. Apple, Amazon, Disney. If ISIS started a streaming service, you’d call your agent, wouldn’t you? So if you do win an award tonight, don’t use it as a platform to make a political speech. You’re in no position to lecture the public about anything. You know nothing about the real world. Most of you spent less time in school than Greta Thunberg.”
So, no, they aren’t about to say anything about China. They are far too emasculated.
Aw, look, it’s the criminal defender here to pretend he’s not a shitlord that defends criminal behavior.
It’s impressive how many shitgibbons are upset by this. The Bucks had one of their own PLAYERS assaulted, tased, and wrongfully arrested less than two years ago. This isn’t new shit, it’s the same old thing, just a new day.
Fuck you whiny babies, who can’t help but demand black men shut up and dribble for your amusement. Heaven forbid the plight of black Americans interrupt your Cheeto-crunching, tribalistic, ritual of yelling at the TV while beer sputters from your lazy lips.
But hey, LeBron said some dumb shit a few months ago, so that makes it all ok, right?
Excellently put.
It is indeed performance art at its finest. It made a valid point for a worthy cause, it was protest that burned nothing, broke nothing, hurt nobody. Bonus points. it does not put the protestors at risk either.
Groovy.
NBA players have apparently decided to not play today, and then resume tomorrow. Which means all teams in the playoffs will skip one game. Makes sense to me; at that point their point will be made, I’d think, and further strike action wouldn’t accomplish anything except hurt their own business.
I wonder too how much of the decision to skip a game comes down to them being sick and tired of being in the “bubble.” You have to think that isn’t good for your spirits and would make everything seem worse. I can imagine more a few guys were thinking “I’d like to see if we can win a championship. On the other hand, I’d also like to see my kids.”
So, it’s the peaceful protest the right has been clamoring for, but they’re still complaining. What a curious result.
