On the Xbox 360 my son has a started a “world” in Minecraft. When he is not around, I can’t log onto the Xbox, start up Minecraft and play that world. I have to log in as him. How can I import that “world” to my Xbox avatar?
There’s no intended way for you to be able to do this.
According to this video there’s a trick you can do to do it:
1.) Sign into Xbox LIVE.
2.) Start the world with both your son’s account and your account (your account being the guest, obviously).
3.) Force the console offline by either unplugging its ethernet cable or its wireless receiver.
4.) The game will pause because of this, but using your controller (the one controlling your account, the guest) choose to continue playing offline.
5.) You should now have the ability to save the game, something that’s normally only possible for the host.
You should now have a copy of the world attached to your account, but obviously progress you make in it won’t affect your son’s copy.
This trick worked for some people in the comments, but not for others. Good luck.
