Hmmmph! Leonardo is turning out to be the Scott Baio of his time. I also got Valentino. (He was gay? :eek: ) And Van Gogh. Meh, not exactly a soul mate in there far as I can tell.

It’s quite simple. If they’re all dead, you get the job by default, since there’s no one else to do it.
I got da Vinci, Edgard Allen Poe, or Vincent Van Gogh. Poe’s stories are nice but I think he’s a maniac, and Van Gogh just didn’t have a very good life. I’ll take da Vinci, please.

I got left at work (again) when a trade show is in town. (Big Fat Paulie gets to go to all of them. He’s got the same heavy Brooklyn accent that Matt Dillon does, and is as charming as Joe Pesci in Goodfellas) But my boss just called, and said he wrangled an extra ticket for the after-show get together on the beach at the Amphib Base, and that I should meet them all down there after work. So I got that going for me today. Just a couple of more hours here, then it’s sipping beer and networking with people. Hooray beer!
Well, I finally broke down and called an orthopedics practice. Gonna get my shoulder looked at on July 6. They couldn’t schedule me for anything before my nephew shows up on the 22nd, so I told then I’d have to wait till after the 4th. I hope they can help me - I’m tired of hurting all the time.
In other news, um, there is no other news. Just another boring Wednesday. I’m thinking I’ll run the vacuum to suck up all the doggy cookie crumbs. And I might dust.

I’ve been doing an agenda and printing big maps for my meeting tonight. We (as in I and the commitee I headed all year) made a recommendation that would result in about 100 kids walking to school instead of taking the bus. In other words, to do what every other kid in the district that loves within the established walk distance does now.
From the phone calls and e-mails, you’d think I proposed making them dance at a Duke lacrosse party…(cheap shot, eh?). In any case the board has to approve it, but meanwhile we’re having an “informational” meeting tonight.
