All right–I couldn’t stand it anymore. I went and painted over the splotches with the original paint (I did not repaint the walls). Guess what? I missed a few… :rolleyes: It only took me 2 Dixie Chick songs, so that was OK.
BUT-it already looks better and I will now sleep easy and go to HD on Th as planned. I swear, this home improvement thingy is worse than pregnancy. Truly.

I don’t mind that today is 666–I heard on NPR a few months ago that 666 was a miscalculation or some such. I have forgotten the real number that marks the Beast and all, but me, I just call him Voldemort now. The women avoiding giving birth today are just plain silly. Afterall, now everyone’s gonna say, “gee you missed the 666 by one day”. :rolleyes:

Ah. Wednesday. Wednesday, I awake at 0500, dress, eat, and go to work, where I am on my feet for 12+ hours, and then come home about 2030 (8:30), to shower and collaspe into bed again. It’s a job, and it pays-what can I say? That it takes up my entire day, with no time or energy left to even read to my youngest child is beside the point, right?

Sean, I’m glad you liked the pun. Depending on what the basis of the joke is, it’s hit or miss as to who will appreciate it. I try to make them as broadly appealing as possible, but you can’t expect a 21 year old to always hit an audience roughly twice his age.
Now, where yesterday at work was surprisingly productive, today I made up for it by actually backsliding. First I lost the morning to an orientation, where I met the one attractive girl out of all 19 interns in my program. I’d’ve had lunch with her, except it seems she always uses her lunch hour to work out or go swimming. One day I will join her, I think, when I actually get around to this whole “exercise” thing.

Saturday, the secretary was an hour late, because she couldn’t get out of her garage.
Once, one of the monitor techs asked if she could run over to her dentist’s for a quick something or other. Turns out her dentist was NOT in the professional building across the street from the hospital, but in a suburb some miles away, accessible by under construction expressways.

Hope you survive work, OK, rigs. You should probably just go to an Apple store and have them walk you through stuff. I didn’t buy my iBook at an Apple store, but I’ve heard they have excellent customer service. I don’t think Mac is all that different from Windows, in general. And the things that are different tend to be easier, I think.
I’m tired and toddling off to bed now. Tomorrow is one long meeting. (OK…there’s several, but it’s going to feel like one long one…)

I had to work this weekend, so I accomplished nothing at home. I got paid time and a half on Sunday, so I really can’t complain. (but I do anyway)
Hubby and I took the girls to see Over the Hedge yesterday. It was cute and funny, and the kids enjoyed it, so that’s what counts.
I really need to quit goofin’ off, and get ready to go on vacation next week.
We are going to Schlitterbahn. The one in New Braunfels, Texas, that is!

Whenever I eat devil’s food cake, I am reminded why I don’t eat it very often. The stuff is so dang rich! Ok, the dark chocolate icing (ganache?) did put it over the top. What a buzz! Made snuggy-wuggy time a little more fun though, what with the sugar rush and all. Today we both have grilled chicken salads and deviled eggs for lunch. Somebody* took the rest of the cake into his office. Actually I’m kinda glad, cause I really do not need anymore of it and they’ll eat it up today.
Today is billing day. Envy me.
