No, not ALL DMV employees, just the one I dealt with today. Following my statement that I needed to file the form for replacement of lost documents, I handed him my completed “Application for replacement of lost documents” (didn’t get my registration sticker in the mail), took the completed form, set it on his desk, dug around in his Pile O Papers and handed me a blank cope of the exact same form.
He didn’t even bother glancing at the completed one I handed to him!
Me: “Sir, that’s the form I just gave you”
DMV: “Harrumph.”
Then he proceeds to type on his computer and complete the transaction.
Hmm, I can feel your pain. My boss goes to the DMV every week for his car business, and a couple weeks ago it was in the news that one of the clerks at our branch was selling Class C (trucker’s) Licenses. The kind that you have to go to school for. $800, no waiting.
