Miss USA gets in trouble for acting like an AMERICAN?!!

More than alcohol has been associated with the pageant winner’s exploits. Rumor has it that she parties with cocaine, too. Hence the rehab.

She’s lucky that she’s pretty and blonde. And that’s all I’m going to say on that.

Thanks Face. I wasn’t aware of that. It certainly changes things a bit. Can I take back my last post now?

If they didn’t, they do now.
I’m sure many of them have seen that Seinfeld episode.

Stunt casting coup: The Donald and Miss USA now starring on Broadway in “Chicago.”

The similarities are eerie. Life imitating art.

No, you may not. She may have had cocaine, but the only reason she’s in rehab is because it allows her to blame the drugs and not herself, and allows her to keep her crown (funny bit from the chat shows: “And according to reports Donald Trump will be able to keep whatever the hell that thing on his head is”). If we sent to rehab every 21-year-old female who snorts coke, gets drunk and makes out with a chick, we’d need the entire state of Minnesota to hold them all.

Well, if the Daily News is a reliable source Wikipedia sez::

 God bless America!!!

Oh, to be a New Yorker!

I agree that just because she’s in rehab doesn’t mean she is doing so because she is a coke addict or anything.

But just because there may be a whole bunch of cocaine-sniffing, pole-dancing, booze-guzzling party girls out there doesn’t mean she is being unfairly persecuted. The thread title claims that she has gotten in trouble for acting no worse than most Americans, which is bollocks I say. Most Americans don’t party like that. Forget about the crown. Home girl is lucky that she isn’t doing 5 to 10 in the state pen. The tabloid press has been been easy on her. Since the cocaine thing isn’t common knowledge (as evident by the fact that I’m the first one in this thread to mention it), I’d say they’ve been remarkably easy on her.

I think we need a cite on this one. Or pictures at least.

Well, originally, I figured,“You know, what the hell. She partied, screwed around, and that’s all fine and dandy. No harm, no foul”.

Upon further review, faced with the blubbering she did in front of the cameras to be the “best Miss USA ever” and other crap…I say let her go. She had a pretty peachy gig going and she blew it.

What started the push to the other direction started with the news of going to “rehab”. If your average Joe (or in this case, Jane) did a similar thing, they wouldn’t have the luxury of having rehab to get away from their fate. Although, sez I, she might actually have a real drug problem, and if it’s legitimate, then that’s fine. Get cleaned up and go do it all again. However, that first nudge coupled with the amount and propensity of the groveling she was doing at the news conference…just makes me think that no lesson was learned and that she simply blew a pretty sweet deal…

…even if she did have to suck some Don wang to get it.

I kid. About that last part, at least.

Only by proxy. It never seems to be an issue when I’m around.

Actually, it I was trying to assert that she was unfairly NOT being persecuted. Not that she should go to jail (I don’t think people do 5 to 10 for having coke in their systems, and I know that you can’t get 5 to 10 for underage drinking), but this “Forgive them, they’re in rehab” thing is really starting to bug me.

seconded, word for word

Can I be a security guard? Pleez? Pretty Pleez? With sugar on top?

Wasn’t this whol;e affair orchestrated to get free airtime for mr. Trump? Does anybody take the “Miss Universe” competition seriously, anyway? I think the pageant was originally set up to promote ocean city (in the 1920’s) as a tourist destination.
I think Trump has gotten MORE than his money’s worth over this!

Hell yeah, baby.

I think you mean the Miss America pageant, started in Atlantic City, NJ.

In my case, “mileage.”

You want footage of Lord Ashtar being alone for a while?
