Cogenitor is a great turn around on the usual Star Trek episode and I highly recommend it. Mrs. Plant, World’s Most Knowledgeable Trek Person and I were very impressed with it as a turn around episode for the series. 
On a side note: People complain about the hot space chicks in cat suits, but I would like to point out that hot chicks in suggestive/revealing clothing is a Star Trek tradition up there with “seeking out new life and new civilizations”. Anybody remember Lt. Uhura, Nurse Chapel, or Yeoman Brandt?
Interestingly enough it was also a tradition in Forbidden Planet, which could have served as a Star Trek pilot.
