Aliahna Lemmon, who was missing since before Christmas, was found dead Monday. 39 year old Michael Plumadore, who was babysitting her and her younger sisters, admitted to beating her to death with a brick and stuffing her in his freezer. Then when the other kids left that night (and people were searching for the girl), he cut her into pieces, kept her head, hands and feet, and threw the rest of her body into a dumpster.
I first read that she was missing online a few days ago, then I saw in the paper today that the babysitter admitted to killing her.
What the fuck. You can;t even call this shit bag a person. People don;t do things like this. When this dog is convicted, he should be put down as soon as possible.
What is it with you, Indianians? First Sylvia Likens, now this. But I must say, this is yet another example of “missing white woman syndrome,” and as such, it’s hard to get sufficiently worked up.
The link in my OP works fine. What do you mean “you, Indianians”? It is hard to call a 9 year old a woman. And if you don;t get worked up over a child being killed, I have nothing more to say to you.
You’re expressing what is known as recreational outrage (or RO) 'round these parts. Is there anybody anywhere who thinks that killing a child is permissible? Hardly. That doesn’t mean everybody wants to roll around in pity and cry every time another horrific murder story comes out.
You also seem fairly new to the internet in general, and message boards specifically.

On review, the latter is incorrect. Animals do kill immature members of their own species, sometimes even their own offspring. What they don’t do is remove the parts of the body that might identify their victim. That’s only done by people who have watched too much CSI.
People were mutilating other people long before CSI existed. And animals are so wondrous and pure, that they definitely never eat their own babies, either.
This story is no more worse than the woman who repeatedly stabbed her OWN daughter who was a special needs child all because the daughter wasn’t “cooperating” with her… It’s a mad world out here!
I agree. This incident, when added to the Sylvia Likens murder of 1965, is definitely proof that Indiana is fucked up. I mean, two brutal murders in forty-seven years? Jesus Christ, this place is such a basket case.
And yeah, like you, I really can’t get worked up over mainstream missing-person/murder cases. The whole white thing…it’s just so lame. I, personally, prefer to go look at the bulletin board at my local bodega, in search of missing brown people. I know, it takes a little extra effort, but it’s so much more satisfying.
Sure. But I think that removal of the girl’s feet, hands, and head was obviously solely intended to hinder identification of her remains, and for no other reason.
The report I read indicated that the mom knew the neighborhood was chockfull of registered sex offenders, but was reassured by her own dad (himself a registered sex offender) that they were all reformed sex offenders, and her daughters would be safe living there. The alleged killer was one specifcally discussed by Mom and Grandpop, and Mom apparently felt safe enough to leave her daughter alone with him for several days. What her rationale was, I can’t even begin to imagine.
Personally, I don’t find Recreational Outrage to be any more offensive than the reaction that somehow those who express it are in the wrong, that they are overreacting, or that they don’t care about all the little murdered black children. This particular story is big locally, so naturally it would get at least local attention. People discuss things as a way of processing them, and everyone looks at the world through his or her own filter.
And you know…not all of Indiana sucks. I mean, really–Illinois is better? That’s a new one to me, but I’m sure it depends on where you live in either state…
That must be rough. My hometowns pretty liberal, so when somebody dismembers a child we’re all just like meh, but I can see where it would be rough in a town that was more conservative.
For the last couple days CNN’s been reporting on a toddler abducted from her bedroom. Isn’t that the second one in the past few months? These dumbass parents need to think up better stories. I blame our educational system.
