The bad news is that Mom-of-the-Year Casey has been released from jail (albeit under electronic surveillance).
The good news is that psychics are now on the case, so the tot will be found in no time. (“I think she’s near water… I’m seeing water… an ocean… or maybe a bathtub… or a Dasani bottle… and somewhere nearby there’s a book or a sign that has writing on it… with vowels…”; it’ll be interesting to hear Sylvia Browne’s take [“I think it’s her gall bladder that ruptured and she needs to have her spleen removed and she’s in either Guatemala City or Kiev… either way it’s difficult to disprove”.])
No, some bounty hunter with a reality show (I thought at first it was Dog, but I’ve never heard of this guy) bailed her out and is convinced once she’s out of jail she’ll talk. I’m thinking this is half wanting publicity for himself, and half delusional thinking. Her attorney has told her to keep her yap shut, and the bounty hunter or his representative will be with her 24/7. They’ve already set up residence in her parents’ house. That should be fun.
Meanwhile, Caylee is still missing.
A weird thing that happened was George, the grandfather, claimed that Caylee was kidnapped and he was in touch with someone who had the kidnapper under surveillance. Why he didn’t turn this info over to the police instead of the media I don’t know. I very much fear someone is pulling Grandpa’s leg.
Yeah, I’d vote for “publicity stunt.” Every time there’s a new story about the situation, they may be mentioned or pictured. And assuming they don’t lose her, they build a reputation and their money’s safe.
I actually pity her attorney in all this. It just gets more and more odd. I confess I don’t understand (or sympathize much) with moms (or dads) who can’t seem to keep track of their 3 year olds. 7 year olds are much more mobile and independent. 3? 3 is still full of choking and other hazards. I can understand losing them in a store but for HOURS? :dubious: Where’s your head at, mom and dad? Losing them for a month is beyond plausibility–she’s either dead or kidnapped. I think she’s dead.
Sounds like someone’s hoping to take over Dog’s former audience. Of course he has to act fast as Dog’s coming back. He was the highest rated show on A&E and one of the highest rated on cable, and totally coincidentally after a year of missed revenues A&E found it in their huge hearts to forgive his racist rants and thoroughly bizarro explanations of same. (My favorite was when he actually claimed “the two old ladies who own Mt. Vernon” [?!] were going to let him be buried in the slave cemetery so that when in the future children ask their parents “why is Uncle Dog buried there?” [which swear to God he said they’ll one day ask- even to the Uncle Dog part] they can explain racism to them; while there they can explain how it’s always been a dream of former slaves to be buried with a long haired heavily armed racist white man who chases runaways.)
This bounty hunter is Leonard Padilla who evidently has a show on National Geographic channel. His web site has bunches of Caylee links already.
As long as she won’t talk all they got on her is child neglect charges, wether she jumps bail or not probably depends on how good a job she feels she did on getting rid of the body.
No link, but apparently the bounty hunter who bailed Casey out, now that he’s had a chance to review the 400 page document outlining the charges and evidence against her, is having a serious case of “Well, if I’d known this, I would never have bailed her out!”
That’s interesting about the grandmom talking Casey into keeping the child rather than adopting out. But that makes me think that if Casey didn’t want to raise a child, but the grandmom did, the fair thing would have been for the grandmom to adopt the child and raise her, herself.
If Casey was looking for a way out of parenthood, black-market adoption would be very tempting.
Tests Detect Decomposing Body In Casey’s Car

ORLANDO – Air sample tests sent to the University of Tennessee show there were traces of a decomposing body in Casey Anthony’s car at one time, according the Orlando Sentinel.
On Wednesday, bounty hunter Leonard Padilla told News 13 he thinks Caylee is still alive, but now does not think Casey will be any help in locating the missing 3-year-old.
Duh, you think*? That’s the problem with rational people trying to help irrational people…you assume they think normally, but they don’t.
There’s also news that prosecutors are offering her limited immunity if Casey will just admit Caylee died in an accident. What accident could cause the smell of decomposing human flesh in the trunk of your car boggles the mind…I don’t even want to go there.
*That’s directed at the bounty hunter, not you, SomeUserName
