1- the theory seems to have gone from “accidental death badly covered up” to outright homicide (I count giving too much chloroform as homicide)
2- I wonder when the grandmother is ever going to just wake up and say “My daughter’s a murdering bitch”
3- I’ve said many times “I’m not pro death penalty in general, but there are exceptions”; if it’s found that Casey deliberately murdered her, this is one of those exceptions. She needs to be gone from this plane.
I heard him (Padilla- the bounty hunter) say something last night on a CNN segment (Nancy Grace I believe- I just caught the end of it) about the FBI planning to go to the landfill where a dumpster the car was found parked close to was emptied.
So is the consensus in FL that Casey is a sociopath or just a raving nutcase or a junkie or… what exactly?
And poor Caylee is one of the unhappiest looking children I’ve ever seen pictures of; her eyes never smile.
Her bond has been posted again, this time anonymously (I wonder how Padilla feels about that? He was using his money as a hammer over her head, trying to make her talk, and someone else came in and sprung her loose) and several volunteer searchers are none too pleased.
Well, she’s out of jail and on her way home - almost home at time of posting. Parents are listed as posting bond, but there’s some speculation as to where they got the money. Her lawyer has a publicist and maybe there’s a movie deal.
It’s sad to keep hearing this over and over again, someone needs to cough up some info. I’m glad I don’t live in the neighborhood there, all that media and police activity would get old fast. Sheriff’s office stopped by this morning to let the Anthony’s know some of their neighbors are a bit upset.
Oh, we’ve had some late night shenanigans, with protestors banging on the Anthonys’ garage door in the middle of the night (why George doesn’t come out with a shotgun loaded with birdshot I don’t know) but the latest news is Zenaida Gonzales.
Yes, the mysterious woman who Casey said was Caylee’s nannyis suing Casey for defamation. The police have determined this poor woman knew nothing about the case, but she’s lost her job and been unable to find another because of the publicity and the tendency of people to be idiots.
The interesting twist in this is that her attorney, John Morgan (fairly well know in Orlando) has said this civil lawsuit may break the case, since they will have the power to issue subpoenas and get depositions, so maybe, they’ll get digging into places the police have been unable to dig into.
That said, I seriously doubt Casey Anthony has any assets, so at the very least, maybe Ms Gonzales can get her good name back.
Ivylass, did you see this about a child’s foot being found in Alabama?
Long way from where Casey lives, but still I wondered … did she drive up there and bury the child?
RE: Shenanigans with the protestors - I don’t know how the neighbors are putting up with it. It’s a ridiculous situation, and I wonder if law enforcement is allowing it to go on because they think pressure will make the Anthonys talk.
The HOA of the neighborhood is trying to get a curfew imposed, but the last attempt got thrown out on some technicality.
I hadn’t heard that story about the foot, but is there any indication Casey went to Alabama? Of course, she’ll claim her boss’s neighbor’s daughter’s dog walker took Caylee there after a trip to Disney World.
I simply do not understand this woman. Her daughter is missing, for crying out loud, and it doesn’t seem like she gives one single damn. Hell, even Susan Smith managed to fake it for a few days.
Weren’t she and Caylee missing for a while, and that’s what made Cindy call the law in the first place? It takes me about 17 hours (I think) to drive from Jackson to Tampa. Could she conceivably take a 3 day trip to Northwestern Alabama and back? I honestly don’t know; it just made me stop and think.
Not to repeat my post #65, but this girl has mental/emotional issues. I don’t think that she operates from the same level of emotional attachment that you and I do. It appears to me that she just doesn’t have the same feelings for loved ones that a normal person would, much less the attachment a mother has with a child. I don’t know if “stunted” is the right word, but she’s missing a cog there.
Having never dumped a body personally that I’ll admit to, it would seem to me the best place might be to point your car in no particular direction (though in Florida south would soon run out of options) and just drive. If there’s no logic connecting the dump site to you it’s probably better, thus I’m hoping the investigation of the child’s foot found in N.Alabama.
This case is just disgusting. I have no sympathy at all for Casey but I wish I knew what the protesters think they’re accomplishing by harassing her parents around the clock. I’d have probably cracked and shot a couple by now (and then told Casey to go hide them- maybe stop off at a wet T-shirt contest at State Line Bingo & Boingo Wonderland for some gas money on the way back).
I think the child died of criminal negligence and Casey panicked and disposed of the body. I also don’t think she has an ounce of remorse and if she were a Rottweiler she’d just be put down. I’m glad they’re not going forward with prosecuting her for a lesser crime at the time being though; I want her to stand trial for murder. (That poor little girl just looks so heartbreakingly sad in every picture, and why the parents didn’t take her away years ago I’ve no idea.)
An indictment has been handed down by the grand jury. The person named in the indictment has not been named, but already Casey Anthony’s lawyer is saying she’ll surrender herself if she’s the one named. Her father testified against her to the grand jury today.
