When I attempt to run a CD, I’m getting the following message: “setup.exe linked to missing export kernel 32.DLL.” The computer then freezes. I have Windows ME, Dimension 4100 series. What’s the problem?

Check that out.
Thanks Poloin, but ME doesn’t have a system file checker and DMA is not checked on the CD-ROM settings. I assume when that MB said “check off” it meant to make sure it is not checked, which it isn’t. What is DMA? Device Manager ?
Direct Memory Access. It’s a device setting along the lines of the IRQ setting.
Off = unchecked in this context.
