Mitch McConnell falls twice in Capitol

They should tell him Congress are voting to tax millionaires and see if he twitches.

Elaine Chao traveled to China three days after Mitch received CPR.

They’re well-matched. I’m sure he would do the same for her.

I’m sure that’s true. It comes with the territory – the relentlessly self-serving psyche of the RWNJ.

Good idea. Much more effective than sticking a pin in his foot.

Why would he care about Little People like mere millionaires?

Must have been tempting for the doctors working on him when he was out to shine a flashlight on his eyes and chant “Go into the light”

I’ve never understood why Chao’s very obvious China ties have never been an issue for Republicans.

I mean, aside from the reasonable supposition that Chao and McConnell don’t have a close marriage, but instead more of a marriage of convenience (he’s been rumored for years to be gay)----why has she been granted so much access to US secrets for so many years?

IOKWARDI

She’s just anticipating the response of almost everyone else. Within a week of his death, no-one will remember or care about Mitch McConnell. Mitch who?

That must be it.

One thing we observe, is that the Constitution did not provide any out for disability to perform duties for the constitutional officials, until the 25th Amendment came around and then only for POTUS in an “acting” capacity (and I notice there is nothing in the 25th regarding what happens if it’s the VP who’s doing the rutabaga impression). Everyone else still is to serve their term (lifetime until voluntary retirement for the Judiciary) regardless of their condition unless removed for cause of misbehavior (either impeachment, or expulsion in the case of Congress members).

In the matter of qualifications for those offices, the legal history is that it has been repeatedly ruled term limits, max ages, etc. require a constitutional Amendment, and so would a process to declare a seat involuntarily “abandoned” by incapacitation.

Oh, the sweet irony of Democrats thwarting the GOP by voting against expelling a comatose Mitch McConnell.

Somewhere on social media I saw a post commenting that he is probably in a state of rigor tortoise.

Probably plugged into a wall while the nefarious goons come up with a plan (sarcasm).

It’s a shell game.

He’s not in a coma. He’s hibernating.

He’s mostly dead.

Pining for the fnords.

We’re thisclose to updating the thread title.

I mean, it is Laura Loomer, after all. But I doubt we’re going to hear Mitch giving a quick sound bite to rebut it.

So, can’t vote, can’t be removed from life support (because that would be murder), and also can’t be replaced?
