Mix CD Challenge #3

It’s time for more Mix CD Challenge categories!

As per the previous threads, here are the rules:

  • For each CD theme put together a CD of 10 to 12 tracks with songs that fit the specific theme.
  • No one CD can include two songs by the same artist. Related artists are okay; you can have one song by the Eagles and another by Glenn Frey as a solo artist, for example.
  • For bonus points, give the CD a neat title.

Here are the new themes:

Easy Level: Compose a CD of songs that include the name of an animal, but NOT the word “dog.”

Intermediate Level: Compose a CD of songs with titles that include a word or phrase that is offensive, obscene, or a curse word. (Words like “God” or “Jesus” are not permissible unless they are used as a curse in thatcontext. So “Jesus Walks” by Kanye West is not allowed because it’s not used as a curse there; “God Damn You,” if it were a song, would be.)

Hard Level Compose a CD of songs that include a brand name, or the name of a company that produces brand name products. Nonspecific references to customer products (e.g. “There’s a Tear in my Beer”) are no good; we need something specific, like if “I Love Heineken” was a song, that would be good.

Question: are novelty songs, like “Pac-Man Fever” or Weird Al’s “The Brady Bunch”, disqualified from the “Hard” level? Seems like they should be, but I’m just askin’.
