MLB: 2013 Postseason

Is that true? I believe I’ve heard Joe Castiglione discuss an in progress no-no on the radio. I don’t watch the games on TV with the sound on very often so I can’t say about those announcers.

Really? Okay, I never have. You won’t hear it on NESN, though. And every time I hear an ESPN guy say the word, that’s as close as I come to yelling back at the TV.

Lordy. Hanley Ramirez couldn’t even swing a bat yesterday because he was in so much pain. Turns out an MRI reveals he has a hairline rib fracture.

Oh, and he’s in tonight’s lineup.

There are ways to set delaying buffers on streaming audio.

MLB At Bat 13 has been running both radio and unproduced TV-video streams (you choose which camera to watch, or put four angles up at once, if your screen is big enough), but the latter isn’t available for the ALCS and WS. But that’s how I watched most of the WC and DS games, with my phone sending my chosen video stream to the TV (by HDMI cable) while my computer was sending my chosen radio stream to the stereo speakers.

Yep. Glad Torii Hunter wasn’t hurt much.

Okay, fess up: Who put the voodoo curse on Jon Jay?

Yeah, coming off the field in the 6th, he said he had “one more in him”.

I don’t know, but I’m not complaining.

YES! Now maybe they can tie up the series when I’m in the stands!

Well, that was fun. So, bets on Nolasco vs Greinke for the start tomorrow?

I feel like you might as well start Nolasco unless you’re hoping Greinke can pitch in Game 7, too. If Nolasco loses, you’ve got Kershaw and Greinke to maybe push the Dodgers into a Game 7, with a presumably confident Ryu ready to go. And if Nolasco wins, then Greinke/Kershaw can possibly shut the door.

Anybody got stats on Greinke pitching on three-days rest?

A new classic sports photo here.

Personally, I prefer my version:

I laughed. I startled a passerby.

As of about noon today I heard Mattingly was sticking with Nolasco. Mistake, in my opinion, regardless of what Greinke’s stats are on 3 days rest. You skipped him in the NLDS with a lead in the series but you’ll throw him in the NLCS when you’re behind?
If Greinke says he wants to go, I’d let him go.

Time will tell, I guess. I have a feeling both teams are going to come up with more runs today.

Well, that was a nailbiter. This series is going to kill me.

Yeah. Striking out Cabrera in the 8th then the double play in the 9th got my BP down to, oh, 150 / 100.

If I could have it my way, the NLCS would be on Fox and the ALCS on TBS. The AL isn’t real baseball. That said, these have been fun to watch.
