Aiyeeeeee! How could the Tribe fall apart so badly now that they’re back home? GOTTA win it tomorrow.

Yeah, I noticed the lack of TV comment on that, too, and was wondering whether it wasn’t as big a deal as I thought it was or if just nobody noticed it or something. Hence my delight that at least two people did notice that. ![]()
Urrrgggghhh…
Yeah, I was wondering about that too, and why nobody mentioned it. At least he didn’t interfere with the ball. Great catch nevertheless.
Hey asahi, you want to come back and explain why the away team has won four out of six in this World Series?

Buck and Smoltz really couldn’t say anything about it, because they’d be criticizing their own coworker - I think it was a Fox sound guy who did that. If instead it was some fan whose camera equipment was dangling into the field of play, you can sure bet they’d have spoken out against that fan.
It was a great catch by Ramirez.
I won’t answer for him, but I think Cubs should be AL next year. ![]()
I’m surprised baseball still hasn’t come up with some foolproof way for two outfielders to communicate with each other which of them has the primary fielding responsibility for a fly ball.
My theory is not wrong. As I said, just because the home team loses doesn’t mean they don’t have the advantage. They have less of an advantage as the series continue, but they still have the advantage. I’m not wrong. The visitors have just performed well. Carry on.
The Cubs are proving that they’re a smart hitting team and Maddon manages the lineup well. Kluber has been the Indians most reliable weapon but this will be his third time to face the Cubs. You wonder if Klube’s going to be on top of his game and even if he is, the Cubs hitters will probably be ready for him. I think the Cubs take it.
One yells “¡Yo la tengo! ¡Yo la tengo!”.
Ha! Hence the band name. Love the Dope!
I really don’t understand all the Joe Buck hate – he ain’t that bad. Tim McCarver was more insufferable to me than Buck, but Smoltzy balances things out a bit more. Less fighting for control over the microphone.
And his second straight outing on short rest.
Gotta love Game 7s!! Tonight will be exciting!!
I’m doing my best to help the Cubs win.
I’m rooting for the Indians.
In other words, there’s absolutely no way to disprove your “theory.” ![]()
Game 7s are great, but I this one is a bit more special than most because of the teams involved. I don’t recall ever being more excited about a game in which I have no actual vested interest…
And I see that we’re still on opposite sides of the table…thus confirming that all is still right with the world ![]()
Same here. So exciting, history will be made. I’ll be at a bar with a Cubs fan friend from the midwest. He was at Game 4, poor guy, he shelled out all tho$e buck$ only to $ee them lo$e. I’ll be wearing my Wrigley Field 100 Years t-shirt, and bringing my Cubs toys (baseballs, beer cup, bobbleheads) from my one visit to Wrigley in 2014, in his honor. That friend was in town for the 2014 NLCS against the Cardinals, and we both went to AT&T Park - his first time there.
We were there for the Travis Ishikawa walk-off! That was 10/16/2014, my wife’s birthday, and I’m still living that one down. On her birthday cards I write, “Happy Travis Ishikawa Day!” ![]()
Pretty sure it is going seven.
This has been a great series, but fairly bizarre for a Yankees fan. I can’t wait to see Miller and Chapman square off tonight.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!
I remember that night. All too well. That was the night that the word “Mathenaging” entered the mainstream Cardinals lexicon.
