As related to me by my brother Jackelope, http://www.mlbfanstrike.com/ is the homepage which is building up a national movement of fans to get them to remind the Major League who actually runs the league.
Fans have grown weary of the constant threat of strike by the players and they want their voice heard. August 1, 2002 is their DDay and I am interested to see whether it comes out noticeably or not.
What does the SMDB have to say about this?
 My Astros are just starting to win! I will continue to watch em and root for my team. If they strike, they strike. I will be pissed but I will get more yard work done.
This sort of thing pops up every single time. And it never works.
Call me a naysayer if you will but I won’t waste time on it.
As soon as the strike is averted (or over), the sheep will cough up yet even more of their hard-earned money and give it to those over-paid whiners.
The thought, IMHO, is a waste of energy. I will always be a basaeball fan. A strike in the past, while it may have diverted me for a season, did not take away my love for the game at any level. Selig may be an … oh wait, that’s not the toipic here.
Fan strike … ok let me just laugh for a while.
A friend of mine has as the http://www.wewontgo.com . Well-intentioned, but he hasn’t really followed it up with anythin. I think he had some grand ideas, but his focus tends to wander.
