The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the Dodgers are in the cellar.
Welcome to Summer.

Okay, new month, newly rediscovered stuff for the Giants’ starting rotation!
Last night the Indians & Rays started a game in May and ended it in June.
The Braves are talking about sending BJ Upton to the minors. He’s been just awful this year. Somehow, I’m not thinking Upton will agree to this.
Fuck.
Apparently they rediscovered May.
So, I guess 15-1 aggregate is a good enough start to the month…
Can we make this a yearly thread please?
Nice work Reds! Yeesh, the Pirates are a good team right now!
Dumbass comment by Cubs announcing team on tonight’s game, “Goldschmidt might make the All Star game.”
Let’s all welcome Puig to the majors. Hopefully, he makes an impression, and we get something out of our “whole new blue”.
I finally got to watch the Dodgers play this weekend in Colorado. I missed the only win due to an illness and then got ill watching their next two.
The only bright spot is that after I walked away thinking that Mattingly was trying to kill a young pitcher, Schumacker has the arm of a 5 year old and Federowicz would drop a ball you handed him, it turns out that we had no bullpen, and our minor leage call up may move Kemp out of center. Of course Federowicz is still terrible but we’ve got no one else.
Me likey Puig.
Good: My Brves looked good last night in taking down the pesky Pirates. BJ Upton showing signs of shaking off the slump he’s been in since the start of the season.
Bad: Looks like baseball is about to be rocked by another big scandal. Get ready to get sick of hearing the name “Biogenesis”.
I was not displeased to be at that game last night. I also think the error called on him was BS, but not important in the grand scheme of things.
It’s kind of weird being reminded what it’s like to have some [positive] excitement at Dodger Stadium.
The Indians are 4-12 since their 18-4 run.
The good news is that unlike last year, when winning streaks were a fluke, I believe that the losing streak here is a fluke (never mind that we started with a losing streak, and this is our second…)
This team has the talent that one would EXPECT to win, while last year it was a SURPRISE when they won.
How they are failing so miserably right now is anybody’s guess.
Also, if you want some soap opera drama,Chris Perez is under investigation after 1lb of pot came in the mail to his house. I don’t believe that Chris Perez could possibly be that stupid but then again I stated publicly that I didn’t thing Anthony Wiener could be that stupid (to tweet his junk to his mistress) so I am just going to keep mum on it.
Teheran was four measley outs away from a no-hitter today. It sure was fun watching everybody take a short break from work to follow along for a bit.
He was dealing in that game. I listened to part of it on the Braves radio broadcast, and one of the announcers made an interesting comparison. He said it was a " a Pedro-like" pitching performance.
QFT.

Big series starts tonight, baseball fans! Reds v Cardinals in the 'Nati should be an excellent series between two good teams. And this is developing into quite the rivalry, and all three games are nationally televised.
It’s put up or shut up time for the Reds. Time to play with the big boys now and prove you can beat a good team in a series!
