I might just have to kiss Kiké Hernandez right on the mouth.
Dodgers v Yankees, if it happens, would be MLB’s dream series. Cubs v Yankees would have been a good one, too, but you know MLB wants Houston to lose tomorrow night.
Don’t make the Dodgwrs angry. You won’t like them when they’re angry.
Damn can the boys in blue save some of these runs for the next series??? GO BLUE!
I wish Kershaw woulda been left in the game. He deserves to finish this one, but I also get the thinking here.
Nah. He gets the win anyway, and unless he was working a shutout, what’s the point? Better to pull him, lock down the win and set your sights on Tuesday and beyond.
Well played LA. You guys definitely deserved it! Now anybody but the Yanks! And my heart thanks you for mercifully and quickly dispatching us instead of drawing it out to an agonizing and heartbreaking loss in Game 7.
I didn’t have to stress too much about today’s game.
Dodgers!!!
Woo-hoo! Dodgers! I wonder if my dad can still get tickets…
So nice to see Kike get his moment in the spotlight. The guy played 7 out of 9 positions for us this year. Just a great person and teammate. Saw the ball pretty well tonight and gave Puerto Rico something to cheer about.
4 more, Dodgers. Do this.
I haven’t seen the Dodgers in the Series since I was a kid. While 29 years isn’t the worst out there by any means, I’m looking forward to this.
And give Jansen some work to help keep him sharp, too.
The Dodgers look like a tremendous machine, darn near unstoppable. Congrats to the Dodgers and their fans. Enjoy this!
Yeah, but this has also been said about the Indians (watching from home) and the Astros (on the verge of elimination). Nothing lasts forever. If the bats get cold, even Kershaw won’t be able to win the Series singlehandedly.
Not saying it’s going to happen, mind. Just that unstoppable in one set doesn’t always carry over to the next round.
Hey hey hey. Don’t rain on my parade.
Also the Dodgers have been dominating like this for a long while now. That doesn’t mean they WILL win, but it does mean that excitement is reasonable.
They are genuinely the best baseball team I have seen in years.
I love the look of this team but so many teams have just gone cold at the wrong time. The 2001 Mariners were so great, and then they had a bad week and poof.
It would be disheartening to most baseball fans to have the Yankees win the World Series, so like most I’m cheering for Houston pretty hard, and if they can make it I’m fine with either team winning. But LA would be the team I’d bet on.
For what little it’s worth, FiveThirtyEight is currently giving the Dodgers the World Series edge against whomever they face: https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2017-mlb-predictions/
40 years ago the Yanks got their first World Series win in my lifetime over our old foe the Dodgers. I hope that the Yanks can make this a reunion. Verlander scares me tonight but I feel fairly good about game 7 with CC & the bullpen pulling us through. My biggest fear is if Houston knocks Soriano out early and the bullpen gets used heavily in a loss. Then game 7 becomes very dicey.

Congrats to the Dodgers & their fans. **
So if the Yanks can hold up their side of the deal, this would be meeting #12 of the two old foes.
Nice SI article on the first 11: https://www.si.com/mlb/strike-zone/2013/06/18/fall-classics-the-11-world-series-showdowns-between-the-yankees-and-dodgers
Historically, Yankees/Dodgers would be coolest for me. I honestly would be disappointed for Houston if they don’t make it. They are a really good team and I like them a lot.
If the Astros build a significant lead, surely Joe Girardi will not waste his best arms. He’s not stupid. He’d just ask Adam Warren to pitch four innings or something.
