Rookie move.
In case the announcers haven’t mentioned it a million times already, postseason record for Ks in a game is 15.
Okay, I’m a moron who can’t read google results correctly; actual record is 17 by Bob Gibson. (Oddly enough, world series record is higher than either league playoffs).
I’m sure this will be fun once it is over, but right now every high fly is giving me a mini stroke.
Baseball is stressful.
GO DODGERS!
Really nice fast-paced game I just wish Buck would shut up
Amen, brother.
That’s one.
I really hate the Fox broadcast and how many commercials they manage to cram in so this really needs to be a 4 game series
Congratulations Dodgers
This year the post season and WS uniform emblems are cheesy. They look like iron-ons.
I seem to recall they were always embroidered.
I know, cutting costs. But, it ain’t pretty.
Yep, they look really strong.
I noticed that too. Not very attractive. They do look chintzy. Yes they’re usually embroidered – at least the 2010, 2012, and 2014 ones are.
Turners HR was weather aided and might not gone out on a normal evening.
Verlander pitches tomorrow and will probably Kershaw the Dodgers.
So it doesn’t count?
Who is cutting costs? They have specialty uniforms all season long: breast cancer pink, prostate cancer whatever the hell color that is, throwback uniforms (so we can see those Astro rainbow shirts one more time) etc. Apparently the league can afford endless specialty uniforms but only got these cheap deals for the “WS” ?
Maybe the supplier messed up a batch of embroidering and this is all they could do in time?
I wonder if MLB makes a set of WS jerseys for every playoff team, and trashes the unused ones, like Super Bowl Champion T-shirts (of which more than a few loser’s versions have somehow escaped the shredder).
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to watch last night. Don’t have much of a rooting interest, but it’s the World Series! From what I gather this morning, though, it sounds like Fangraphs pretty much nailed it with this article about how the Dodgers’ pitchers would get more favorable strike calls.
“The Dodgers will probably play the World Series with a friendlier strike zone than the Astros will.”
Heard a stat on the radio about percentage of low strikes (I have no idea what their actual formula was) and Kershaw got about twice as many calls as Keuchel.
They don’t shred them, they send them overseasas part of charity aid packages.
Well then, I want me a Boston Red Sox 2017 World Series jersey, stat!
I would think you’d prefer a Boston Red Sox 1986 World Series Champion jersey…
It counts but it was a close game. No message of dominance was sent.
How was it “weather aided”?
