MLB Playoffs

Dodgers starter Ben Casparius has pitched all of 3 career games prior to today, and it’s showing.

Damn, I was sure that Wells’ double would have scored a run. At least Verdugo did the job.

Volpe!! OMG!!

Hot dog! Nice to see Volpe come through in the clutch.

I would like to see a change in the rule so that when you’re trying to avoid being hit, you aren’t swinging. Stanton gets hit in the hand and has a foul ball for his pain.

Wow that was a huge overturn.

If the Yankees pull off this win it won’t be 5-4…

I think Dodgers aren’t done.

That much is already so  Knack got knacked.

Robert’s decision to make this a bullpen game is giving the Yankees hope and they are playing like it. Not liking this at all.

And now they’re having a BIG bottom of the 8th. The New York fandom will be happy tonight.

YES! Finally!! Bring on Game 5!

Don’t touch my Mook!!

Yankees dug at the precious bullpen. If they can get Flaherty replaced early tomorrow, might see a 3-2.

Although I realize I was completely and utterly wrong about Yamatos’ potential letdown in game two, he’ll have game six in LA. He play the same, Dodgers will end it.

I was surprised that no team down 3-0 in the WS has forced a game 5 since 1970 and that no team has ever forced a WS game 6 after being down 3-0. Yanks make history tonight. Let Cole go 6+ innings, even a complete game if the lead is big enough.

Plenty of encouraging signs last night. Judge is getting better at bats, getting his timing back. Wells was back in the groove. Torres continues to be productive. Volpe living the dream. Chisholm getting better at bats. Defense was a lot cleaner. Yankees in seven!

Do they just have no other starters?

Bullpen games are one thing in the regular season but it blows me away than LA might not have four starting pitchers.

Not on the World Series roster - they just went with Flaherty, Buehler and Yamamoto in favor of another RP. They hit some rough stretches with injuries - Paxton and Glasnow both went down. They could have added Bobby Miller, but he was truly ineffective in September when he came back.

Tonight, for goodness sake Boone, when Freeman comes up to bat hold up four fingers. I don’t care if the bases are empty or if there are two on. Do not under any circumstance let him hit. And if he comes up with the bases loaded with they Yankees up by 3 runs, walk him. Better to be up by 2 than down by 1.

I think there’s some regrets.

And Kershaw may be retiring.

I looked it up because I was curious. This was the tenth time since 1970 that a WS was 3-0.

Interestingly, the Yankees fans who interfered with Mookie Betts last night have been informed that they will be allowed to attend Game 5 tonight.
