Ooooh, they’re playing “Dueling MVPs”
I know we complain about the announcers a lot, but… here goes Rick Sutcliffe complaining that the Tigers’ bench isn’t excited enough.
Sutcliffe (who, by the way, never pitched an inning in the World Series) doesn’t really know shit about what’s good or bad for the Tigers in terms of how they react to things on the field. Maybe staying calm is a sign of confidence. Maybe they just don’t want to act like they blew up the Death Star for tying a game in a series they know they’re losing badly and figure they want to stay focused until they’re back in it. Maybe Sutcliffe can provide us some insight into something he actually fucking understands, like PITCHING, which I think he’s mentioned twice the whole goddamned game.
Uhhh… were those the four WORST singers in the USAF?
That God Bless America was horrible. WTF?
Not only was the singing terrible, but they also somehow managed to leave out the melody.
Congratulations to the four of you. You are now a meme all over the 'net.
#badgodblessamerica
I hope God wasn’t listening, or else He’s gonna send an asteroid at America.
Actually, I think the problem was that the men were singing the melody and the women were singing harmony, but the way they were miked all we could hear was the women. It might have sounded really nice if it had come across as intended.
I really hope I was wrong and the Tigers can pull this out…
Maybe. I’d have to listen again to be sure. Unfortunately, that would involve listening again.
The only way to make that sound nice would be to not mike them at all so you couldn’t hear them.
Oh good grief, there it is again (ESPN Radio): “First extra-innings World Series game since game 6 of last year’s…”
All right, Beard part II time…
One more…
Got him looking!
Well, dead without a whimper
grats Giants
at least it’s too damn cold for a riot.
So well deserved. Such wonderful comebacks. Such dominance in the Series. A wonderful performance.
The series as a whole might have been rather one-sided, but this was a hell of a game tonight.
Yay!
Triple Crown winner stood there like a house by the side of the road and watched it go by. Sure wish the Tigers had shown up for this series.
Congrats to the Giants.
The quest begins anew in 16 weeks.
Miggy A-Rodded the series!
It was indeed a gripping game tonight.
