MLB: Post-season

Very true. I would prefer to hear “Take me out to the ballgame”.

Giants fan here. Been enjoying the boys of KC. What is the chance of the world series…KC vs SF?

Real classy, Nats fans, booing Tim Hudson as he left the field, trailing only 1-0. What was up with that?

Yeah, i was really puzzled by that too. Not sure what was going on there.

I think it was generally booing the Giants for taking out a tired pitcher. Like, “Booo! No! Leave him in! We might get TWO runs!”

If there were a rule where you could only change pitchers 3 times in nine innings, the SF Giants record would be 10-152.  Their bullpen is set for any batter it seems.

Some awfully close pitches for Panik to take…not strikes, but veeerrrry close.

Should have left Zimmerman in, IMO.

Edit:

Now they REALLY should have left him in!

I would’ve. But then again they don’t pay me the big bucks to make these decisions.

This is going to be a really close call. I’m glad i’m not the replay umpire.

Edit:

And he’s out.

Tied 1-1 going to the bottom of the 9th. Wow.

Wow. Just–wow.

Out!

Shit this is tense.

Why why why the fuck did they pull Zim?? Argh!!

Another extra inning game? More free baseball? I hope so!

Sorry, Posey, ya don’t get to make your own calls. I like how he rolled into the “safe” position.

You! Harper! Hit a home run!

Man, I understand the thinking behind pulling Zimmerman, but if the Nationals lose this it’s going to be two days of second-guessing the manager.

I know. Unbelievable.

He pitched 8.2 innings, gave up three hits and one walk, was still looking great, and had just thrown his 100th pitch. Surely you can give him another half-dozen or so to get the last out?

Flannery should never have sent Posey home, but I can’t complain about the call. He was out by maybe 3 or 4 inches. Close enough that if the call on the field had been’safe’, I think it would have been upheld.

Hoping for extra innings…

Zim had a hundred pitches and was throwing watermelons. It was a good call.
