MLB: Post-season

Drop dead from stress/fatigue, probably…

So…Petit has been a starter, and could conceivably go another 4 or 5 innings…and they still have Lincecum on the bench.

How about the Nat’s pitchers?

This is now, I think, tied for the second-longest game by innings in postseason history. Can it get to the 19th?

They just brought it up on the screen. One true relief pitcher left and then they’re into their starters. Giants have two relief and two starters.

0-7 night for Adam LaRoche. That’s gotta sting…

And now they’re in sole possession of second place on the list, as we go to the 17th. Good grief, Charlie Brown!

Okay, now the second-longest game by innings. I’ve heard that it’s the longest by actual minutes, as we’re probably going to break 6 hours before it’s over one way or another.

Okay, first pitch was at 5:36 PM EDT. So, yeah, the game needs to break 5:50. Easy-peasy. Call it 11:30 PM just to make the math easy.

Lincecum has been in the bullpen for a while now.

Barring a leadoff homer in the bottom of the 17th, we should get there.

Roark due to hit third in the bottom of the 17th. They will not be pinch-hitting.

Hey, I was already corrected on that! :smack:

I keep seeing these program alerts for their MMA coverage. I’m going to laugh my butt off if they stop running those because their coverage is over but the game is still going on.

And now tied for the longest game by innings. This has been a terrible week for my sleep schedule. First the Royals, now this.

So, is this game now legal?

Going to the 18th. At least two full games of baseball in one. The relief pitchers are doing an amazing job.

“Let’s play two!”

Not that the starters did that badly…

Let me gt this straight: Powerhouse, no-hitter pitcher needs one out to end the game. He’s only got 100 pitches exactly when taken out. But, hey, he walked someone.

One reliever and two batters later the game’s tied and it’s Giants oblivion once again.

Zzzzzzz… go Nats … zzzzzzzzz

NO!!

And Tim Hudson has been the starting pitcher in both postseason 18-inning games.

Belt belts a home run! Giants lead!

And as the game’s sixth hour ends, there’s the third run.
