Actually, I advocate letting the entire process of calling balls and strikes be automated and the strike zone being locked in place mechanically.
AARGH - the Giants gave it their best in the 9th sending Posey, Pablo and Pence against Holland, and came up short. Gotta hand it to the Royals, they earned the hard-fought win.
This just means the Giants will win the Series in KC!
If that was ‘their best’, then they’re in big trouble. That 9th inning was pathetic.
But if they could have just hit one or two balls somewhere other than ‘right at a defender’, they would have won this game, so I’m not too despondent. A win tomorrow and it’s a best-2-out-of-3…and the fact that 2 of those games would be on the road doesn’t scare me at all.
It was the heart of the lineup, usually their best hitters.

The Giants always seem to have trouble with opposing pitchers at the plate. It’s getting a it old, really.
