If you wanted someone like that who’s gritty, take… well, um, Jose Bautista is a good example. He’s much older so he’s lost his defensive value and stuff, but this is a guy who had an awfully long, hard road to stardom and who had to work and adapt and play multiple positions to keep his career going, much less become a star. But, wrong kind of last name, I suppose.

I was going to say the same thing. I’m sure there are a few dozen other examples, but Bautista’s grind through the circuit is an amazing example of hard work and dedication to the sport. I hope Bautista calls him out on it.
