I know you have to separate eggs for some kinds of cakes, but I can’t imagine what recipe requires you to separate your shoulder! Seriously, sorry to hear that, Bob…it sounds really painful.

Is it a rotator cuff separation? Hubby had surgery 3 years ago for it. He was in a lot of pain before the surgery, but he’s perfect (ok, his SHOULDER is perfect) now. Good luck.

I don’t know the gory details yet. I know that it’s an AC separation, and there’s mention of ‘grade 3’ (which I suspect is a measure of the damage done) on the diagnosis sheet.
What’s really bugging me (besides not being able to use my uber-dominat arn too much) is that I’m supposed to go see the same orthopedist who told me 6 weeks ago that I’m too old for martial arts training… :dubious:
Not dislocated. The care sheet I got says to treat it like a sprain, and I think it’s damage to ligaments and tendons.
I told the doctor, “Doc, it hurst when I do this!” So the doctor says, “Don’t do that!” Ba Da Dump!

My favorite Xmas movie was on last night – A Christmas Story – and even though I actually own the DVD, I ended up staying up an hour past my bedtime to watch it.

FCM, I’m really sorry to hear about your kitty. Littly Lily and I extend our sympathies. It seems to be a bad time for kitties - one of my coworker’s kitties died while at the vet’s last Friday and another coworker’s kitty will probably be put to sleep this Friday. Very sad in all cases.

Sorry to hear about your shoulder bobbio. Boy, this isn’t a good week for MMPers.
When I turned 40, I was showing someone how to gain a full lotus position, and heard (and felt) a loud CRACK! from my knee. I went to an orthopedic guy the next day. He was looking over my chart after examining my knee, looked up, with inspiration, and said “Here’s the problem! Your warranty has expired.”
So, VunderBob, my friend, you need to check that shoulder warranty, it may have expired.
I think that’s so funny I might have tipped him when I left. But it also wasn’t my knee.
I just had to renew my subscription! That means I’ve been here a whole year! Wow, it went by fast. Happy anniversary to me!

I’m wearing my horrible plaid pants to class today, and I really wish that the black coat that I ordered would have been shipped here instead of my permanent address. Then I would match more, assuming that I had gone and bought new shoes to match the black coat, because the only black shoes that I own are dress shoes, which might not look so bad, but I’d feel horrible about not buying new shoes with a new coat.
Well, that’s one stereotype shot to hell.
