There was a contest to name snowplows, of course “Plowy McPlowFace” was in there, but there was some good ones IMHO. My district got " Snowbi Wan Kenobi".

There’s some good choices. I’m fond of For Your Ice Only,
I’m disappointed that Mr. Plow (from The Simpsons) wasn’t on that list.
“Tater Tot Hotdish”?
It’s a Minnesota thing.
Are they going to put the names on the trucks, or is this just a symbolic naming?
You can track Scottish snow ploughs (“gritters”) live online. They have many funny names too.
Here is a short article from The Scotsman.
I got (and voted for) Plowy McPlowface, but really wanted Duck Duck Orange Truck (which I also voted for).
They just named the snowplows in Peacham, Vermont.
Local schoolchildren organized the naming, including nominating the names which were then put up for a town meeting vote. The plows are now named Day Blaze, Fearless Frosty, Got Snow, Ice Cream and Sparkles.
I can’t find it now, but at least one article said the names will actually be on the plows.

Thank Heavens! I thought it might be a porn thing.
For those who aren’t in on the joke, “Duck, Duck, Gray Duck” is a regional variant name of the game normal people call “Duck, Duck, Goose”.
A friend of mine is the creator of “Ope, I’m just gonna plow right past ya.”
(Translation for those that don’t speak Minnesotan “excuse me while I squeeze past you to grab some cream of mushroom soup from the grocery shelf” - or whatever occasion has you doing that strange invade someone else’s space for just a moment. Normally a word like squeeze or squeek is inserted instead of plow)
At least according to last weekend’s Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, they rejected one of the top names – “Abolish ICE”. Which is too bad, because it is pretty damn clever.
I’m bummed to see that my district got the less than imaginative Plowy McPlowFace. Not what I voted for.
Yeah, Blanky McBlankBlank was clever and fresh 10-15 years ago.
I’ve seen some of the Scotland names before; a couple of my favorites are Sled Zeppelin and Creedence Clear Roads Revival.
