That was the funniest thing I’ve seen in a long, long time!
I laughed so hard I lost all my "L"s, aparently!
Agreed…I love that the NFL is actually able to not take themselves so seriouly for a change.

That was hilarious. I never thought I’d see Richard Simmons on Monday Night Football.
awww FK!~ I missed it had to go unlock a damn car… someone give me the full scoop please?
Actually, I love the fun they’re having with this. Dennis Miller’s “important stats”- “the Redskins are connecting on 50%…of their center/QB exchanges”. It’s almost half, and they just showed “1st half highlights” of Tony Dorsett running for 78 yards and John Riggins running for a TD. This is better than the game! (much better than the game)
I can’t believe I’m saying this but i LOVED watching this game.
Games like this are the single reason they brought in Dennis Miller. He was really on his game tonite. ABC didn’t take anything here too seriously. Perfect.
I loved the “Game Recaps” that were montages of great MNF Dallas/Washington match-ups of the past. Aikman, Irvin, Theisman, Pearson, Dorsett, Riggins. Really entertaining stuff.
I loved the constant pleas to tune away from baseball and watch. They were so realist, they know they are the dog of the night, and they totally enjoyed it.
With a bad game, they showed alot of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. OH DAMN! Hot as ever, best thing about the entire broadcast. And Dennis hit the nail on the head. “You don’t have that in baseball!” I admit it, I’m a sucker for this stuff. I love cheerleaders, and the Cowboy’s girls have those uniforms…drool.
And come on, they had Richard Simmon’s cheering for each teams scores.
The pregame schtick was classic, Tony Robbins, Bob Patterson, Richard Simmons. Had to see it to believe that the NFL okayed this type of self-depricating stuff. I respect that.
And lastly, how can you not laugh at the creepy Eagles Doll. He was like Jason, kept popping up everywhere in the comments. Eyeballing the Giants Doll, lining up as the 2nd tight end. Now I need one of these.
MNF, gotta love it.
Not to gloat or anything, but I should point out that Dallas won the game 9-7 with a last-minute field goal.
Robin
I’d gloat now, if I were you. You might not get too many more chances.
