Does anyone have a list of mockumentaries–that genre of movies that are made to look like documentaries?
Some examples:
Spinal Tap
Blair Witch Project
Waiting for Guffman
Bob Roberts

I haven’t seen most of these so I can’t personally speak to the “mockumentary” value. Of the ones I have seen, the best is no doubt that one with Christopher Guest.
This is weird. I just finished watching The Specials (a pretty obscure movie) and then go online. I come to the SDMB and the most recent post in the first thread I open mentions the movie.
Aw, man, Man Bites Dog is awesome. I almost forgot about that movie. It’s a fairly recent (1990s) black and white film in French (but I think it may be Belgian.) It’s basically a few days in the life of a serial killer. This movie is beautiful, raw, black comedy. If you have a dark sense of humor, this movie is for you.
