Raw out-of-the-package vBulletin comes with the option of listing all members who are logged on; this is one of the options that SDMB turned off for server-load reasons.
But if it can be done, this is not a bad idea: Gaudere, Arnold, Ed, Dex, can that function be activated so that it displays staff only? A quick reference as to which staff are online at a particular moment on the front page could probably help to head many problems off at the pass.
