Moderator, please read...

I just came into the SDMB through the “Message Board” link on the main page, and it says I last visited at around nine this evening. One problem…I wasn’t home at nine o’clock, or near a computer where I was, to visit…

Methinks someone’s gotten my password. What do I do?

Email me from your SDMB address, the one you listed when you signed up. I can change your password to one of your liking, let me know what you want. I’m going to block your posting privileges so that nobody else will use your password in the meantime.

Three thoughts:

Remember that the default is Central Time, unless you changed it in your profile.

Are you cookied and does anyone else use whatever computer(s) you use to post here? If so, then whenever your computer is used to visit the SDMB, the server thinks it’s you.

Search for posts by your username to see if someone else has actually posted under your name.

Thanks, Bibliophage, turns out that Gambit was using the default time. He did NOT lose control of his password. His posting privileges are restored, since it’s cleared up. I’m really happy that it was just a misunderstanding about time zones, rather than a password problem.
